It was a great cruise, but it could honestly have been better.

Had to embark through the gangway on deck 0 because the normal gangway that terminal 2 has was broken. So we went through check in, went up to waiting area, then went down to the outside of the terminal to board the ship. Was delayed leaving Galveston because about 70 rooms hadn’t, and wouldn’t, complete their e-muster

The Carnival Dream got out of wet dock a week before our sailing. They did a lot of work with replacing decking, flooring, and furniture on the ship. They also did minor upgrades to cabins. Love the new livery of the Carnival ships
Cabin / Stateroom

Had a standard interior cabin to myself. It was great, loved having the king size bed and I love how dark it gets in an interior. I sleep like a baby.
Ship tip
The ship is the first of the Dream class ships and doesn’t have all the same features, amenities, and restaurants as every ship directly after it. Still a great ship
Got to Key West late because we had a coast guard medevac the night prior causing us to be about 2-3 hours late. So our time in KW was shortened. We walked around, stopped at Sloppy Joe’s and had fun while we had the chance.
