Review summary

We had a great time! We like to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday by taking a cruise together every year and Carnival always makes it special for us. We made the mistake of sailing with Royal Caribbean last time and we felt like a number. This has never been the case with Carnival. The crew was excellent the ship was great and the ports were fun. Looking forward to the next one on the Jubilee.

Food is always great on board, and service is always above and beyond with Carnival. We made the mistake of sailing with Royal Caribbean last time with mediocre food and worst service. That will never happen again, we're with Carnival forever.

Onboard Activities

The trivia was fun, and we enjoyed the art gallery events. We're not much into crazy dance party and silly game type events.

Entertainment

I was very disappointed in the mediocrity of the cast. We're accustomed to seeing full production shows, not professional karaoke. They didn't even do simple harmonies, most everything was sung in unison. The rest of the musicians on board weren't much better. I enjoyed the string trio, and the steel drum guy. Everyone else however was not up to par with what we've experienced in the past with Carnival.

Service and Staff

The whole crew was great as always, but the team over at Alchemy really made things fun for us. Arya had something fun for us to sip on every night. Vera was so impressive behind the bar, and we just fell in love with Darrius. Our dining room team was incredible too. Our waiters all knew our names and preferences by the 2nd night. So impressed with the service on board!

Oka and Tommy our room stewards were exceptional. They were like cleaning ninjas! I have no idea how they cleaned our room so quickly and thoroughly. They even went through the trouble of writing us a special message on our mirror for our anniversary as well as making us awesome towel animals everyday. The crew was as always exceptional, but these guys really made our trip special.
