Thoroughly enjoyed the cruise, getting closer to a "normal" cruising experience.

Review summary

Although it's still not exactly back to normal, it got pretty close. Masks were not a major issue on the ship, although the ports were pretty insistent on everyone keeping their masks on at all times (except when eating & drinking). Overall we had a great time!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
My only complaint was with the timing and size of the facilities. My two favorite entertainment options are watching the stage shows and going to the comedy club, but found that the comedy club was fully packed most nights before I could get to them. The option would have been to leave the stage shows early or arrive late, which I didn't want to do.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Dining room staff were terrific. The only reason for four stars was a possibly unreasonable expectation on my part regarding the cabin steward. On past cruises we have felt a bond with the steward which never developed this time. He did his job well, and was courteous every time we saw him, but didn't seem as connected. Carnival has spoiled me to expect more from the experience.

Our first time in a cove balcony. We loved it!
