The cruise was good (as usual). Masks were required inside (not on deck or around pools). The food was good. The service was good (down to one room cleaning a day). The entertainment seemed a little less available than normal, but the ship was only about 1/2 full.
I didn’t like: that the free water and pins for frequent sailors had to be picked up from a bar and Pixels (as opposed to already being in your room), we didn’t have robes in our room 🤷♂️, and room service has been substantially lessened over the years.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was good (about average for carnival).
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Pools were normal, there seemed to be fewer shows, Dream on deck activities seemed normal. Everything seemed less crowded except the comedy shows.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
About average for a Carnival cruise
Children's Programs
CLOSED
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Dining service was great as usual, room cleaning cut back to once a day (no big deal to us), other ship personal seemed nice as usual
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The layout and design are fine. Only one 115v plug per room stinks. Everything was constantly being wiped down. The interior could use some upgrades and repairs, but not too bad.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The room is good. One bath with a shower, toilet, and sink and one bath with a sink and small bathtub. Room has a small sofa (not pullout), a desk, and a set of twin or one king (twins pushed together) bed. It has a large window, but no balcony. 2 small end tables (the door hinge on one was broken) and a small table in front of the couch.
Ship tip
The ship was about 1/2 full and the masks are kinda a drag so guests are as openly friendly; but once you get talking, things seem normal.
Not a lot of good options here. We did the tube river float. It was fine. The water was warm, the people were nice, the fajitas for lunch were good, and the scenery was beautiful. The float was pretty short and the drive to and from was pretty long.
Nothing like a river float in Texas. Lol
The port is ok. Sometimes you get surrounded by vendors when you leave the cruise terminal, but they are usually not too overly bothersome. We dove there and the diving is good.
Overall, you seem satisfied with most of your cruise experience. It should get better as more ships come back into service and supply & staffing issues ease.
Appreciate your feedback. Happy you were able to sail with a smaller passenger component. That’s going to spoil us for when they are full again. Glad you enjoyed your cruise.
