Review summary

We had a great cruise. Service was awesome all around. Food was as expected on a ship with over 3000 people. Suggest having realistic expectations and you'll be fine.

Service was excellent across the board. Food was very good, not great. But this is a ship with 3000+ people and that's to be expected. It's Carnival, not the Queen Mary. Would like to see a little more variety in the MDR menu day to day.

Layout is good, rarely felt crowded. Don't really care for the decor, it seems odd to me. That had no impact on us though.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

Would like to see more choices in Progreso without having to take a bus to Merida (45 min) or the ruins (2 hours). It's a poor city. We shopped in port and in town. The condition doesn't bother me, but I do understand why many people choose to stay on the ship. It's a shame.
