We made the best of it. We all used Transderm Scop which is the patch behind the ear. I really think this ruined our trip. I think we were all so agitated that it was so difficult to relax and enjoy any of this cruise. We didn't realize until on our way home when I read the side effects to Transdern Scop. Made perfect sense as to why my son thought he had lizards in his bed, why we all had weird funky mouths, 3 out of 4 of us had blurred vision, my daughter couldn't urinate and we were all so agitated with one another we were all miserable.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Crazy hectic but okay.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The main dining rooms (Scarlet) was decent. Their waitstaff was EXCELLENT!! The other eating places including the buffets were simply cafeteria food. I was very disappointed in the food. We did manage to eat in the steak house our last night and that meal as well as the waitstaff was superb.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Water slides, Thalassotherapy pool, massages from the spa (mind you we were hackled to upgrade before the massage, then after massage pressured to by products from the spa. NOT ENJOYABLE!!!!
Entertainment
2 out of 5
Comedy was okay, Bingo was okay. I think the only thing that made any good entertainment was the cruise director Gary. He made the entertainment.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
My son went to the Camp Ocean 3 evening out of the 5 we were there. He loved it!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff were excellent with the exception of maybe 1 or 2. Especially our main waiter in the scarlet dining room named Augustus. HE WAS WONDERFUL!!!
We went to Mr. Sancho's. It was okay. The people were nice but I'm sure this is geared for party goers who are there to get trashed. Food was just bar food basically.
Sorry to hear about your issues. We've actually never had to use any of the sea sickness products. Good info on the stuff you used. Thanks. We did Mr. Sanchos on our first cruise. It was fun, but we had the same thoughts as you. We found Nachi Cocum, which is just down the road, and we love it. 130 people max. Food and drinks were MUCH better, and it was the same price as Mr. Sanchos. Hope you keep on cruising. We go on our 3rd in 11 days.
