Review summary
We choose the Carnival Dream for our family cruise this year. Sailed her before out of NOLA before the 2.0 upgrades. She’s looking good and still sailing fine. Embarkation was insane! The gangway was broken so we walked a mile through the port to embark on Deck 0. It was awful hot and it took forever. Not good Port of Galvaston. After the were settled things started looking up. Sail away was great...fun fun fun! Activities, shows, dining was a delight, no issues. The stage show Flick was the best show I’ve seen on a cruise. It’s not to be missed. Plenty of fun stuff for all ages. Since this was our 2nd time on Dream we knew what to expect. My Hubs and I got the Spa pass and it was worth every penny. Y’all it is so relaxing. Go during times when other events are going on and you will have the place to yourself. Soaking, relaxing, steam, sauna ahhhh, just what we needed. The live entertainment in Ocean Plaza was superb. Lexie and the band rocked the house and there might have been a Tina Turner dance off to Rolling on the River. Disembarkation was as awful as embarkation. I think we will stick to NOLA as our home port. It’s just easier. Overall good cruise... thx Carnival!!!Embarkation
