Review summary

We love the Carnival Dream. This was our 8th cruise on this beautiful ship. We are greatly saddened by Carnivals decision to move this ship away from New Orleans. We are only 1 hour from the port of NOLA and we do most of our cruises out of NOLA or Mobile AL. We tried Port of Galveston one time with the Carnival Vista, 8 hour drive turned into a 12 hour drive due to construction on I-10, NEVER AGAIN, at least we came in the day before the cruise and did not miss our vacation. Now NOLA is getting two smaller, and older ships, the Carnival Glory, (which replaced the Carnival Triumph initially) and the Carnival Valor, (which will be doing the 5 and 4 day cruises, while the Glory will replace the Dream and the 7 day cruises) If you chose to sail on the Carnival Dream, you will LOVE IT!

Your sadness is our happiness. And I mean that in the nicest way. We've been on the Valor twice and love that ship. We were nervous about the Dream this June, but posts like yours puts us at ease. Thanks for the review and we'll do our best to enjoy the Dream as much as you did.

I too will miss the Dream. I called the Manager of the Port and wrote a letter to Carnival but they just made excuses.

We will be doing the Dream's Galveston Inaugural Cruise. We are looking forward to it!
