Overall loved the cruise! Learned a lot for our next Cruise! All 16 of our group we're looking at booking their next Cruise within a day of being home! My 4 year old son was so upset that we had to get off the ship on the last day of our cruise and our 9 year old was already trying to plan the next one the whole 6 hour drive home! Cannot wait to go on another cruise! But overall, the thing that made this the easiest, most relaxing, and best vacation was the wonderful staff! They are the reason I had so much fun and such an easy experience on our first cruise. There is a lot to learn if you know nothing about cruising your first time, and the staff was so patient with us with any questions we had!

I cannot brag on the staff enough! We were a group of 16 people (10 adults and 6 children/teens), so it could have been difficult to accommodate all of us together at certain events/ times, but no one made us feel like that at all! EVERY staff member was extremely nice and polite. Several of our group even commented as we were leaving New Orleans after debarkation that we wanted to get back on the ship where everyone was so nice and helpful, because you can tell a difference in the staff that were not with Carnival. Some of the staff that done an exceptional job were our wait staff in the Scarlett dining room: Gede, Ignatius, and Indrawan. Also our room steward Evangeline. Jaime the photographer was great with my children who were very tired and not in the most cooperative of moods. Also our cruise director was great!

The size and comfort were great. Evangeline made sure our room was very clean and neat everyday. She even went the extra mile to set up my kid's toys in a fun scene for them to find everyday which they LOVED!
Ship tip
Go ahead and book more than one cruise because you will be hooked after just one.
The only complaint I had of this was some of the port staff were a little rude and unfriendly. Even had a parking attendant get into an argument with her boss at our car window while we were trying to pay to park!
We got off the ship here but did not do an excursion. We visited a few small shops close to the port. The shops and port were ok. The only complaint we had were of the local people at the port hounding you for money for any little thing they offered, even after you told them "no thank you", some just kept following you and trying to talk you into it.
Loved Cozumel. Loved all the shops and the people we're so nice and helpful. Cozumel was beautiful. Our excursion was the twister boat/ catamaran to Isla Pasion and it was so much fun for our whole group! I was on the catamaran with my 4 year old since he was not old enough for the twister boat but we had a great time on the catamaran, and the guides on the boat we're so much fun! They were so hilarious! Would highly recommend this excursion to anyone looking for something to do in Cozumel!
