Review summary
I've done several cruises to the Eastern Caribbean and this was my first time on the Western side. For the most part, I was very disappointed in this side of the Caribbean. The beaches were non-existent. The only "real" beach that we saw was at Cozumel. The Mahahual Beach in Costa Maya was the saddest thing I've seen. It was a netted walled off section of beach. Not a sandy beach. There were seaweed that came through making the water turn yellow so it looks like urine. I enjoyed Roatan. The sloth habitat was fantastic. The snorkeling was great. I did cave tubing and zip lining in Belize City. It was okay. In Cozumel, I spent the day at Paradise Beach. Took a taxi. Paid $3 for entrance fee with the promise of spending $10 pp in food/drink. It was very relaxing.Embarkation
