Review summary

A truly wonderful cruise! We splurged and got an aft wrap balcony. It was a truly amazing and huge balcony! We napped a few times in our lounge chairs. We had a fun and relaxing time . I would recommend the Dream!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
New Orleans is such an easy port to embark/disembark. Quick check in and not a long wait even in boarding zone 4. Debarkation was easy too. Off the ship and in the garage by 7:30.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We enjoyed eating in the main dining room every night although the first night the staff was a bit dysfunctional. The rest of the cruise it was fine. We enjoyed eating breakfast ever day at the Lido buffet and I always enjoy the fresh omelets from the omelet station.

The Grille

5 out of 5

Enjoyed the grill cheese sandwiches

Sunset Bar

5 out of 5

Great place for drinks

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We did get into a hot tub on the Promenade deck but it was not very hot. We still had fun. We enjoyed playing mini golf.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff in the main dining room was great except for the little bit of chaos the first night. Our cabin steward was wonderful the entire cruise! We had an opportunity to meet Captain Bovo at the officer's meet & greet plus we met the awesome cruise director, Chris Williams the Flying Scotsman!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship's layout is very good but in some areas there is empty space that seems like it is waiting for a venue. At the time of this cruise (Sept 2016) there was no Guy's, Blue Iguana Cantina, or Guy's Pig & Anchor BBQ. The ship was very well maintained and we encountered no issues.

Ship tip

Enjoy yourself and relax! Get to know the crew. We had an aft wrap balcony and it was amazing how large it was!

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

5 out of 5
Only embarked/disembarked here but the entire process was easy.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

We did the beach break plus kayaking. The beach was wonderful and we were provided a great set up of chairs, floats, and clamshell to protect from the sun. It was our first time kayaking and we didn't tip over! Really loved this stop!

Belize City, Belize

3 out of 5
We did not have an excursion and just visited the port area. Not much to see and a waste of time. I would not get off in Belize without an excursion.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We did an excursion to Chichen Itza as it was a bucket list trip for my dad. It was a fabulous excursion! The only negative is that I am not fond of being herded through a store to access the port area.
