Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Drinks were pricey, but very good. ALL of the food surpassed my expectations. Loved the sit down dinners and the buffet.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

I LOVED the comedy shows. I went to all of the adult shows I could. Randii Andii was very energetic and friendly. Her late night songs were fantastic and creative. My favorite comedian was The Comedy Cowboy, but I really enjoyed Lenny Schmidt as well! All around it was the best activity for me. I really liked Chris, The Flying Scotsman as well. He made even the dullest topics (i.e. rules) fun and entertaining. He was hilarious. Chris for Captain!

Children's Programs

I do not have children/did not attend children programs.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff were super friendly and energetic. I spoke to my husband multiple times about how the service was incredible and everyone was genuine. All of the staff wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. I did not want to get off the ship because the service was unreal.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was always clean and tidy. I had two problems while on board: 1. the shower was not draining and 2. the balcony door was not shutting all the way, causing the room to "whistle." These problems were handled quickly and I had no problems after they were fixed. Michelle tended to my room and needs, and she was always extremely friendly and quick to assist! She handled my problems for me. She made me and my husband feel at home! She memorized our names and ALWAYS greeted/spoke to us when we passed her. I hope in future cruises she tends to me, or I get someone JUST like her.

Ship tip

Familiarize yourself with the ship! I also did not know where to eat dinner the first two nights. Plan two hours for dinner, because between all the courses and waiting, you lose time. However, dining staff is friendly and put on shows, so the waiting is not boring. It also gives time to meet other cruisers. The only inconvenience for dining time was when I had an activity I wanted to go to start at 8 and did not get out of dining until almost 8, causing me to get not to get preferred seating (for me).

I went to Gumbalimba Park. This excursion was fantastic! I was not feeling well at the beginning of the tour and the tour guide kept checking in and making sure I was ok and did not need anything. The Zip Line crew was great as well! They kept joking with my husband and I. A woman on the zip line did not like it, and the crew made sure she got to the ground safely and quickly so she could go back to the park. I believe they handled everyone in the group appropriately.

I went to the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins with lunch. THIS WAS GREAT! The tour guides really knew what they were talking about, could answer all questions, and even knew the city. They were wiling to take pictures for me and kept making sure I did not need anything. The lunch was good too. I ate almost all of it! The rice and beans were my favorite part of the meal.

Cozumel, Mexico

I went to the Mayan Ball Game, Pok Ta Pok, with lunch. This was my favorite excursion, and I cannot believe more people did not go on it. In addition to meeting a Mayan and watching an ancient game, I got to see an ancient dance, make and eat chocolate, make and eat tortillas, and try Mayan "pizza." Then, we had a lunch that was modeled after what the Mayans used to eat. It was delicious! After the tour ended, My husband and I asked the tour guide where to find nice bottles of tequila. She gave directions to a place called Mi Mexico Lindo, and we got a private tequila tasting and learned how to taste tequila correctly. I did not expect to like this, but what we tasted what nothing I expected. It was a great time!

Disembarkation

Very quick! I did feel rushed once my deck number was called and left my Hydroflask water bottle, so advice is to take time to make sure you have all of your belongings.
