Review summary

Great first cruise. Relaxing and fun. Lots to do on cruise. Cozumel is gorgeous!!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The lines were long but moved through smoothly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Lots of food choices. The lemonade was a bit sour, but the breakfast juices were great. All the staff is fabulous and so hard working.

The Chef's Art Steakhouse

5 out of 5

This was great. So elegant and gave us a special dessert for our 25th anniversary!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Fitness center was nice. The spa was great when it was all functioning which was only 1/2 the time.

Thalasso Pool

3 out of 5

The pool was nice but not all of the functions worked, and it was 1/2 full for most of the trip. They said they were cleaning it, but it took it awhile to refill I guess. For the $, I felt I didn’t get the best experience. Would reconsider not purchasing spa in future.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Only one good comedian, stage shows were mediocre, but I didn’t go on the cruise for those experiences.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Layout is a bit difficult to figure out, but maps are everywhere. Because I am a snob about smoke, I didn’t like having to walk through the casino or near it, but that could have potentially been avoided if I was better with ship location. The cleanliness was great. I liked that they had paper towels to use to open doors to help prevent spreading of germs.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Awesome in every way!

Ship tip

If you want to tip when on excursions, it’s best to bring lots of $1 bills. There were people at the end that became sick. Understandable when surrounded by so many people for seven days! I did not get sick, but I was very careful by using Clorox wipes and washing hands a lot.

Bad weather prevented some excursions but also the part that you can go to on foot is very touristy. However, it is beautiful!!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
This was done in an orderly manner but still wait in line more than embarking due to customs. We had them take our bags the night before, but it might be better to debark carrying your own bags.
