Overall great experience. We have been on NCL and RCCL and we would rank this boat 3rd, however, to be honest I couldn't tell a big difference between this one and the others. I love cruising and we had a great week for my husband's 50th birthday. Would do it again!
Embarkation
3 out of 5
We had a time slot but when we got there we had to go to the back of a very long line. We were with family members that needed special assistance and they were able to go right in but they wouldn't let us go with them so we were separated. Later as we got close to the door we saw the same lady who said we could not go in with my family because we were a party of 6, let in two bigger parties of 8 and 10 with their special needs family member. The line was long but we made it all the way through in about 45 minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Dinner in the main dining room in the evening was the best. The buffets were not as good. My son loved Guy's burger joint and the pizza place was great too. Alcohol was very expensive compared to other cruises I have been on.
The Crimson Restaurant
4 out of 5
Food was good and Arfirst and her team were the best. Had another waiter and team that were awful.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Putt putt was always full and would be nice if it was open in evenings and lit up. Pools and hot tubs were always crowded and right outside our balcony so it was very loud when people were in hot tub.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Stage shows were okay. Outside movies were awesome. Comedians were great!
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our cabin steward - Tri = was not the best. Most staff on board were very friendly and helpful
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
This ship does not compare to the cleanliness regimen of Norwegian - at every turn there were people with hand sanitizer on NCL. On this ship we had to search for it. I came home with a terrible cold.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Loved our cabin except it was by the hot tub which was loud and I didn't like sitting outside when people were in it. The cabin was roomy but the couch bed and bunk were not very comfortable for our kids. Our cabin steward was okay - not the best - didn't see him much, went two days without bar soap, I think we were given 4 large bottles of free water but that was not made clear so we didn't drink it so we wouldn't be charged... would have been nice to know. Our refrigerator was not cold and the beer we ordered was hot and not put in fridge upon arrival which would have been nice for my husband to enjoy when we got in room..
Ship tip
Bring a big extension cord - only one plug in whole cabin!
shopped and ate at close to port. Went swimming right by tender for free - water is GORGEOUS! Next time we will rent a jeep and explore island and beaches.
Great shopping - designer knock off hand bags are a good deal. Swam with dolphins at Dolphinaris - awesome! Went to paradise beach - not worth it - too crowded and water was dirty.
Little confusing as to when we could get off ship but it went smoothly and customs was a breeze - don't have to declare anything and you go right through.
