Had a great time and got lucky with the weather. Ship was great and ports of call with excursions were a lot of fun. For first time daughter participated in the teen club which she absolutely LOVED.
Embarkation

Having been through other ports that seem to handle high volume pretty well, New Orleans certainly lags behind when I comes to lines and a bit of confusion. Took roughly 1.5 hours to get on ship once having arrived at the port. Carnival Dream was the only ship in port at the time.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Main dining room food is "cruise-standard". Good, eclectic offerings that are mass-produced "banquet-style". Desserts were very good.
Guys Burger Joint on the Lido is arguably some of the best food I've ever had at sea, as is the Blue Iguana Cantina. Great selection, fast service, high quality ingredients across the board!
Pig & Anchor Smokehouse was a let-down. I realized that the odds of getting something as authentic as Tennessee or Alabama BBQ was going to be virtually impossible, but there was no evidence of the "smokers" being used in the flavor of the food. It all appeared to come from central commissary kitchen and then "flash" grilled or simply served.
Onboard Activities

Bingo, swimming, dinners, sunbathing, comedy clubs, shows, shopping and excursions.
Liked bingo, had never done that activity before.
Entertainment

Shows were "ok"...after being on the Oasis of the Seas shows are not the same...ever again:)
Children's Programs

Daughter had a BLAST with the teen O2 club. She didn't want to leave the ship.

EXTREMELY clean. I like carnivals set-up.
Cabin / Stateroom

A bit on the small side and a bit far from elevators, but very nice nonetheless.
Being on the Lido deck was very nice...
Ship tip
