Review summary

Enjoyed the overall experience of the cruise. Would go on another one. Would possibly try another cruise line to see what is offered there. Carnival was the first cruise and it was a fun first cruise.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Two straight days at sea got a little long but the overall embarkation was good.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Attended the the steakhouse on our last night and the waiter wasn't pleasant and a little pushy. The drinks were delicious. Only had one bad drink on the entire ship.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The main pool on the lido deck was constantly packed and was loud and hard to communicate with my loved ones.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows seemed to be repetitive after seeing the first on. The music trivia in the lobby was extremely entertaining.

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
There wasn't enough activities for the teens 12-17 mainly. Was constantly seeing them in the adult only areas.

Service and Staff

Cabin / Stateroom

The bed was a little hard. There was some stains but the over all comfort was good. The balcony was covered in salt and was oily. In the morning they would clean the life boats which were on the deck above us. The water would rain down onto the balcony.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

2 out of 5
Was the first time in New Orleans, parts were nice, but the French Quarter was dirty and crowded. It rained and the roads flooded.

Montego Bay, Jamaica

2 out of 5
The poverty that was all around. We went to a public beach and the minute we left the bus we were hounded by the locals selling drugs. The beach was nice and spacious and was priced well.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
We did the private yacht to string ray city. Would recommend this. The people who owned the boat were excellent and took time to make sure everyone had a chance with a string ray. We went to a beach afterwards and the water was so clear. We did get food which was pricey which was the one downside to the trip.

Cozumel, Mexico Did not visit port

The ships engines broke after leaving Grand Cayman so we had to go back to New Orleans

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
We were able to get off the ship in a reasonable amount of time. Process seemed smooth.

NOLA limits your choices of ships. We live in Florida which affords us a lot of ports to choose from. Just a drive away
