Think they should have given more than $50 for a whole missed stop. 3 stops divided by $845 is nowhere near $50 bucks. It was enjoyable what we did get to do.

Was'nt please with the $140 just to park my car could be cheaper, but no problem getting on the ship.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was all good but u would think for the price you pay they would at least let you drink the bottle water free. Drink about four of them out the room cause the room stewards that brings them said they were free if you've been on a cruise before; but come to find out only the first bottle was free. Charge of almost $10 on bill just for water.
Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Love the family comedy & the shows they did a lip sync battle. It was great. All the shows I saw was good. A lady sang ,Whitney Houston, I Will Always Love You and you know not everybody can sing that song. She did a wonderful job.

They kept a very clean ship looking at the number of people you have to clean behind very clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

Had the impression that the room would have been a little bigger than that, but we made do.I guess you have to tell yourself keep in mind this is a ship & not a 5star hotel room. Overall it was clean.
Ship tip
Might want to go with a different ship cause the engine blow out so we missed our last stop & they only offered us $50 when we paid $845 a person really. I was told after that that this wasn't the first time the dream ship has had a problem. Overall take a cruise I love'em just don't pick the carnival dream.

There are positive Carnival reviews
I don't always bash Carnival
I give a good review when it's warranted
I just prefer other Carnival Ships over the Dream
I had an awesome time on Carnival Magic
I also like Royal Caribbean
sunshinel9ver. i'm platium with carnival as well. i have nothing bad to say about them at all. as far as your cruise critic comments, my sentiments exactly. also, i never said carnival was ONLY for any one group. please work on your reading comprehension.

I am a platinum member of Carnival. I am a diamond on Rccl and on Celebrity. While I love cruising on all lines, my favorite is Carnival. The staff on all Carnival ships are the best on the seas. Cruise critic is not ever complimentary to Carnival. Carnival is NOT just for the first time cruiser. I do not judge a loyalty program by what I get only. You two posters should try touting the positive things about Carnival, not just your negative comments!!!😎😎
carnival as a company, relies on repeat cruisers, but the carnival brand does not. carnival is a intro into cruising. they rather frequent cruisers sail on their sister lines. hence the poor loyalty program (that isnt universal across all their brands). the value lures in the newcomers. the rest of your post i agree with.
Carnival actually focuses on return cruisers that is their base that keeps them in business
cruise critic actually is a great source of information .. positive and negative
The reviews I have read are diverse in age and gender,
Most of the reviewers mention going with family or a large group of people
cruise critic is nothing but complainers. no one takes them seriously. carnival definitely doesnt. carnival caters mostly to new cruisers and families. cruise critic members are mostly people with less life in front of them, and more behind them.
Have missed ports on carnival and have always had the port fees credited to our account. Were informed on an Alaska cruise after we left port that one of the engines was not performing at its top and that we need to go a little slower and that one port ( Ketchikan )would not be made. Received on board credit and a 25% discount per person on a future cruise. I say that a cruise with some problems is better then no cruise. Have enjoyed all my cruises.
Yep but you just move on ... ports are not guaranteed and it is disappointing but with cruising you need to be flexible 18 cruises and not a bad one yet and we also have missed ports well 55 days until we leave Australia for back to back magic... etc countdown 🍹😎
We have missed ports on two different cruises. We did not receive, nor did we expect to receive, any obc. We just enjoyed our sea day and the extra activities which were planned for us. Things happen.
The first cruise we were on it happened to us ( changed ports on us to due to problems with ship ) I was so mad I swore I'd never cruise ago . Then 4 months later set out on our next cruise. Been hooked ever since, lol
Well, they didn't really have to give you anything. And it's disappointing; I've been there, twice. Missed ports due to ship issue, and missed ports due to weather. And $845 divided by 3?? No, you were on the ship for the full 7 days. I do feel your pain, but nothing is set in stone on a cruise.
