Review summary

We had a great time on this cruise. It was only our second cruise. It was a wonderful experience. The food and entertainment was super. The staff was great and everyone was friendly. I would recommend it to everyone to try at least once. The weather was great and the waters were calm.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It was a little confusing finding where to go to get on the boat but once we were in line to check in it was great. We got there early so we checked in early. I think that made it easier.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was excellent and the drinks were the best. We ate way too much but it was so good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There was lots of things to do. Shows to see, games to play, We loved playing put-put golf. My grandsons played Basketball. Swimming. Drinking, gambling. The Library. Places to eat. places to drink. So many activities that we could not do them all in a week.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
There was a different show every night. Great entertainment. It was a little loud at times and my husband wished he had ear plugs because it hurt his ears. But the show itself was great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was so friendly. The service was good and the staff was great too. Our steward was Leo and he always had our room clean and he remembered our names. He was great. Always friendly when we saw him in the hallway.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The layout was ok. The one thing that bothered me was the casino allowed smoking and it was located in the middle of the ship. You had to walk thru it to get from one end to the other. The smoke smelled awful. If you are going to have a room where smoking is allowed it should be at one end of the boat or the other so we would not have to walk thru it. Or it should have better ventilation so it would not smell so bad. Otherwise the layout was fine.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was great. I had an inside room. It was nice because it was dark making it easier to sleep in. It was comfortable. plenty of room for the 2 of us. The bed was very comfortable. It was always kept clean. The refridgerator needed to be bolted down or something. It was loose and everytime I opened the door it would wiggle around and I would have to push it back in where it belonged. Overall I was happy with our room.

Ship tip

Relax and have a good time. I did not make any plans to do anything because I just wanted to relax and it could not have been better.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

4 out of 5
We did not do an excursion here. We flew in to New Orleans and got on the boat. I have been there before and it is a great town. It has lots of things to see.

Key West, Florida

5 out of 5
We rented a golf cart and went to Ernest Hemingways home. It was an interesting tour and then we drove around a little and went back to the boat. Others in our party did go deep sea fishing and snorkling. It was a good place to visit.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

2 out of 5
After paying to go on the cruise our funds were limited. When we got off the boat in Freeport there was only the little shops to buy t-shirts and stuff. To see anything you have to pay for taxi or bus ride to go see anything. Some in our party did pay to go to a private beach. We did not even see a beach there. We were off the boat about 1 1/2 hours. Then got back on the boat and spent the day there relaxing while most people were off doing other things.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
We got off the boat here and walked to a public beach. It was further than we thought. The beach was small and the sand was a little rough. It was a nice place to see but it could have been better.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was easy to disembark. We got off early and kept our luggage with us. It was a quck departure so I do not have any complaints about it.

Yep we head to America once a year and cruise the cruises in America are so much cheaper than Australia we have cruised South Pacific island a few times from Sydney and cruised to Asia from Sydney but love the Caribbean and normally spend sometime in Cancun cruising is definitely the way To go not having to carry your suitcases around is a bonus ... countdown we have five cruises booked for Oct- Nov two from port Canaveral one from Miami and one from San Juan . Next year in April May we are booked on the Legend from Sydney Australia to Honolulu then Honolulu to Vancouver the on to Alaska then fly home calling into Fiji for a week really looking forward to heading back to Alaska just love it .
