Never again

Sail Date: August 21, 2016

Reviewed: 10 days ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

Cabin: it was August!!

Minimal / non-existent adherence to dress code in restaurants, most stringent booze rules I've ever experienced, no quiet havens on the ship (other than own room), exercise equipment in poor state of repair, over 2 hours to disembark at end of cruise. Not a cruise line I would use again (ever).

Cabin / Stateroom
Embarkation and Disembarkation
2 hours to disembark as a first time carnival cruiser - very much made to feel like second class citizen
Ship Quality
Destinations and Excursions
ok if you want beaches or shopping, not good if you want to explore or make cultural visits
Onboard Activities
Entertainment
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
food and service OK in restaurant, but zero adherence to dress code; baseball caps, cut off jeans, swimwear.....

Tip

don't bother with smart clothes for dining, you will feel out of place
