Review summary

It took two days before we saw our room steward. The fridge took a day and a half to get cool (which I did not understand since the last people left only hours prior). AC in the room did not work properly and was not fixed until the 5th day. I tipped room steward to keep ice in the room. he said he could only bring it when he cleaned either 8-10in am or 6-9 in evening. which did we want. Hard to get service except for the casino bar staff. They were amazing. I will NEVER go on a Carnival ship again. bathroom door had a loud creaking noise we reported the second day. finally we sprayed suntan lotion on it. solved problem. they came to fix it the last day. LOL what a joke. We had fun anyway..can not stop us.

ac was broken most of the trip. fridge never worked right. took two days to get cold. loud creak when bathroom door closed. problem in the middle of the night. woke everyone up.

do not do it . go with royal carribean or another cruise line. You get what you pay for.

saw the monkeys . they just jump on you. they are so light . they make you smile. It is soooo hot in August. Much better in March or April on the islands

Dear kathy we have gone all week with out seeing our room Stewart . Just called him on the Phone.. They offer am/ pm service now. We just write full service and we get both ,it's worked great 6 times on the dream... After 18 carnival cruises we have learned don't sweat the small stuff. I'm surprised you didn't Like the creaking sound of that stick way up ass ......Thanks for not returning...

Sampool, give them a try. We've been on 5 Carnival cruises, taking #6 on Sunday. We have always been blown away by the quality and level of service. We've never had a bad experience. Give them a chance and make your own judgment. ☺

Its very simple. If you want to have fun, party a bit, and hang with fun, laid back folks, try Carnival. If you want to cruise with the electric scooter croud, snooty folks who may be 6 feet under any minute from a heart attack if you upset them, and nothing happening on board after 9-10pm, try the other lines.

Sampool you'll be just fine if you try Carnival. Like I've said before, you can't make everyone happy. Look at the overall rating for the Dream. I've been on her 3 times, you will not be disappointed. Beautiful ship.

Been on 5 cruises with carnival in since May, 2015 with another one coming Sept 10. Haven't had a bad cruise yet. As you said to each his own. There are certainly plenty of choices out there when it comes to cruises.

You don't sound fun at all, never carnival, never new orleans, how do you handle the ports of call without picking them apart for every minor discrepancy that doesn't meet your expectations. I will always do carnival because their regular cruisers aren't extremely picky. I wish you well on your future vacations.
