Review summary

I love Carnival, but this boat was not up to the Carnival standard that we are accustomed too. First off, we got a suite, which should come with priority. Well, it took me finding our stateroom service guy and asking him where our luggage was for us to finally get luggage 4 hours after boarding. Our room was supposed to be done when we boarded, and was not. It also was not cleaned well. The closet doors had hand prints among other grime and dirt on them. It did not feel clean. Our stateroom service guy asked us to choose morning or evening for a turn down. We used to get both. With the price of a suite we should get both. Maintenance was in our room 3 times without notifying us. We had to exchange out our beach towels at the pool. The stateroom guy only did it once after he overheard us complaining on the way to exchange them at the pool. The water at dinner at the tea smelled like fish. It was gross. Did not feel like the food or cleanliness of the dishes was up to Carnival standards. Overall,  very disappointing. The boat was full of rust spots and places where the floor was giving way (like on the sports court) . The excursions were great! The waitstaff in the dinning room especially Juliana were great. Otherwise, not up to what we are used to on Carnival.

Do not stay downtown. Also be careful at the mall. My husband was verbally assaulted int the mall and told to give money to a gang kid or he would be cut.

You should do a ship tour after you see the water filtration system.... well I guess you or someone next to you has fish. As the ships water is better than some bottled waters. The reason you might not have gotten good stateroom service is the guy probably wanted to avoid you after you probably accosted him on the first day about your luggage.

Hmmm my 3 Dream cruises must have been on a different ship. As for the suite, as stated above you can't access your room until 1:30.

Poor Rhonda!! If she had done her research she would have had answers to most of her problems before she cruised..The big price of a suite??? A couple thousand or so for an Ocean Suite is too much?? Check other cruise lines. Come on Rhonda and loosen up girl!!!Chill!!😎😎

First of all, you're confusing Faster to the Fun perks for suite perks. Suite only entitles you to priority boarding, but does NOT guarantee that your room will be ready. Per the Carnival website : Guests may access staterooms no earlier than 1:30pm unless a VIFP Diamond or Platinum level guest or have purchased Faster to the Fun. Second of all, you don't get expedited luggage with a suite either, you have to wait for luggage to be delivered, like those of us in steerage! Sorry no one served you beach towels in a silver platter, but more sorry that you let it ruin your vacation that you paid SO MUCH MONEY for. *eye roll*

I wasn't aware that getting a suite gave you priority. I have been on 5 Carnival cruises and have 2 more booked. Diamond and Platinum board first priority, Faster to the Fun and then everyone else. We have never had any issues with Carnival. I can find at least a couple of things on every trip I have ever been on to disappointed with. We just choose to make the best of the good things.
