Review summary

2 TINY pools... Hot tubs were always cold.. Every bottle of water is $5 & every soda is $2. Gratuity is expected everywhere, even for a $2 soda..(comes to $2.48). The food was terrible always. Lobster/steak/fish/shrimp all sub-par. 6-7 main channels with ESPN not as one. Every movie played during the "movie nights" we're terrible. The track has no grip & wasn't usable after it rained (unless you wanted to slip). Big basketball court on top but nobody played because it was constantly windy.. Only got 3 half days on the islands but had to spend 5 1/2 days on the boat. Everyone couldn't wait to get home! Seriously, just find a resort at the place you want to & save thousands..

Only thing to do was lift weights but I can't really think of a weight room worse than that. All shiny but stupid exercises. Probably was one that you could pay 20$ to use every day?

A blind orangatang could have designed this ship better. Nasty people everywhere. Every hot tub was cold (I felt every one multiple times) so I never got in.

Tiny rooms! We had one of the bigger ones! Shows they want to cram as many people on board in order to bring in the most possible $.

Ship tip

You couldn't pay me to get back on this boat. Total trip with balcony view will cost you an arm.

From your profile you have been on 2 to 3 cruises but from your review it does not sound like it. If so you would know the size of the rooms. You could have looked up the schedule in advance to know the time in port and the time at sea. You could have pre-bought bottled water ($2.99 for a 12 pack). If you were worried about TV channels why go on a cruise? If you only ate at the buffet I can see why you did not like the food (not a fan of buffets). You cannot blame the cruise line for weather. It happens. And, if you think an all-inclusive resort is cheaper you are in for a surprise. Of your entire review the only comment I might agree with is about the hot tubs because I heard this when I was on the Dream (our cabin was not far from one and a lot of people said this when they got in).

The Dream is our favorite ship so far. We had none of these issues. Yes drinks are expensive, but no more than concessions at a movie. That's to be expected. And you should expect to spend that much time on the ship. That's why people take cruises.

Excluding fast food, try going to a restaurant and getting a soda for less $3. The free iced tea and lemonade was fine for us...

As usual, podna is right. There is always one person who is not happy with themselves and tries to make everyone around them miserable. The Dream is a wonderful ship. Look out Sandles !!!!! This complainer is coming to you next , WE HOPE!!!

Carnival sells a case of 12 bottle waters for $2.99, you should've ordered that before boarding. They also have a drink package, I think it's Bottomless Bubbles for $5 or $8/day. Sorry you didn't like the food, that is the cruise line's fault. Sorry you went during bad weather but don't blame it all in the cruiseline

Gratuity is like that because workers work very hard and they get paid hardly nothing they live on the boat don't get to see your family I wouldn't complain there is some people we would love to just have some food tonight
