Review summary
We enjoyed our cruise on the Carnival Dream. The islands visited were beautiful. We took an open air bus to Maegans Beach in St. Thomas....gorgeous beach...well worth your time to visit. We took a private tour in St. kItts for only $25....it took us to a Batiq, very nice tour. We did do a Carnival tour on St. Martin to see both the French and Dutch sides....tour was good but the island isn't impressive. Grand Turk has a great beach right next to the dock...go to Margaureitaville, has a pool next to it! In Ocho Rios we took a Carnival tour to Bamboo Beach Club....nice beach, lots of rum punch, Mojitos....food wasn't much to speak of. The ship has plenty of options for eating...the pasta restaurant is especially nice. I read a lot of reviews before we went and people complained of a sewer smell...yes, there is but not by our stateroom on deck one. It wasn't all the time and it wasn't obnoxious. The dining room food is good but down graded since my last cruise a few years ago. FABULOUS carvings, creations at the midnight buffet and a great display of towel animals by the pool one day...an animal on EVERY lounge chair and around the pool! great cruise overall...shows and comedians were good. Disembark net was a NIGHTMARE in New Orleans...1 1/2 hours waiting to get a taxi...in the rain!!

Ship tip
We could always find a spot on the deck to be by the pool or hot tub!! Lines were never real long to get food. We were at a table of 11 for early seating in the dining room and the service was a bit slow, some of it due to "talkers" at our table so they were not finishing as fast!!
