Review summary

Our cruise could have been. A whole lost worse, but a whole lot better too. We sailed for 7 days on the Dream and endured the smell of sewer gas the whole time. I woke up 3 out of 7 nights sick from the smell. First complaint... "just open your balcony door..." second complaint... "we will send a fan up...." 3rd complaint... "we realize we have a problem and are working on it, it should be better now" finally on the fourth complaint they did give us a small compensation. The curtains in my room were torn and had cigarette burns, not to me tion the dried food on them. The wallpaper was starting to peal amd the carpets were stained. The food was great, same thing daily, lettuce was turning brown by the end of the week. The best thing about the ship was the crew, they were awesome!! Friendly and having a good time. The ports were okay. Loved Key West, Freeport was boring and Nassau was nice, but very pricey. But then again we were tired from no sleep due to the stinky room, so the ports were probably better with rest and more energy.

Stinky, dirty and out dated!

Ship tip

Enjoy the staff, they are the best thing about the ship. Take bleach wipes to wipe down your cabin and if you have a problem speak out. This ship needs to be dry docked and fixed!

Just finished the first Journey cruise for carnival on the Dream. Had a great time btw!!!! Yes you can smell sewer at times and depending on the wind direction. When we were still in port in New Orleans on 10/4, wife and I played mini golf. We were on the top deck alot and when down wind of the blue and red whales tail tower we could smell it. We had a few other lite whiffs several other times. Once the wind was directly behind the ship it also happened. No time was it overpowering. Noticeable yes!!!

😂 dream doo doo! FYI Kennys22 was very rude. obviously hasn't learned how to behave in public yet.

psycaholic2    9 years ago

hmm... Then why don't you smell it on other ships? Do people only doo doo on the dream?

kennys22    9 years ago

It depends how many people take a dump haha it's true if it gets full it may start to smell because your on a SHIP you idiot

gellmore, yes, when you spend 2-3 grand on a vacation, you shouldn't have to endure a sewer smell.
