Absolutely fabulous experience overall

Sail Date: December 14, 2014

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Inside

Everything was great on this cruise.  The Service onboard, the different activities for the kids, the entertainment venues was all above what I expected.  The only negative issue was a disappointing experience with a ship recommended shore excursion.  Upon return when discussing it at the pursers desk we were basically told oh well it happens.  I found that quite unacceptable for something we had just paid over $300 for.  That is the only negative comment I can give.  When we do it again I am not sure I would book through the ship for the excursions because of their indifference to our complaints.  With the exception of the excursion, this was a great value for a vacation for 6 people.

Ship Quality
far greater than expected
Food and Dining
this was a great value and was great food
Service and Staff
Trisna was our head waiter and was fabulous. Our youngest daughter is very shy and by the 3rd day she had her ordering for herself and even out on the dance floor dancing with her and the other wait staff. Hilda was our stateroom steward and kept our stateroom immaculate. it was like she waited for us to leave to go in and tidy up.
Entertainment
better than any of the shows we have seen in Branson Missouri
Onboard Activities
there was so much to do even the kids were reluctant to go to port for fear of missing something on board
Destinations and Excursions
had to walk over 2 miles to a boat to get us to the private island and was sold water on the boat only to be told we had to dispose of it onshore as it was not approved. we were also told that the swim with the dolphins started a specific time and they would announce it as we did not have phones or watches and they did not causing us to miss half the presentation and time with the dolphins (there is a ship time and island time that are not necessarily the same make sure to verify.
Cabin / Stateroom
New Orleans, Louisiana
been here before the cruise and was not overly excited
Key West, Florida visit hemingways house
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island
the straw market was amazing as well as the public beach
Nassau, Bahamas
the dowtown section was great for site seeing

Tip

go to the fore of the ship on 7 deck 15 minutes before sunset or before sunrise for one of the most beautiful site in Gods creation.
