Wonderful Carnival First Time Experience!!

Sail Date: July 20, 2013

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

Our family has cruised several times but this is first one on Carnival. Carnival Dream far exceeded our expectations on its beauty, amount of activities, and friendly staff. The only problem we had to deal with, daily, was the poor dining service. Our server Eric was good but unfortunately the 2-other dining helpers (one man above Eric and one under were unatttentive. Eric tried his best as our waiter daily but again the one gentleman Over Eric" only came around last day of ship and honestly acted like he had known us which is not the case. The other gentleman poured water and brought bread and he needed a lot of help. The gentleman above Eric seemed to rush us nightly with dinner in trying to remove our plates off of table before we were finished eating. This is the only problem - POOR DINING Experience from Servers (NOT ERIC).

Nice spa however the spa was inoperable one day during our 7-days out due to a water pipe problem which caused us NOT having access to SPA activities. Lost 1 day after spending the $200 per couple (husband and me) to use....not happy!
