They are not provided, or required. They are super handy though. You can get them cheap on Amazon or eBay

Not need nor provided with your fare. Those that want to use one can buy them at (not just a) Dollar Store.

you can also buy lanyards on the ship when the store opens.

they no longer offer them. you don't need one. if you want one, they sell them on the ship or you can get them from a store or Amazon before you leave. there is a small hole in the corner on the card to secure it with the lanyard. do not buy a plastic pouch for the card as you will have to remove it every time you make a purchase

I haven't asked for one of the casino freebies In a few years. I read they no longer offer them. is this true? I'll add that I still use one. it makes it easier to find in the room and keeps me from losing the card.
