Not as expected ,,

Sail Date: June 08, 2008

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship seemed old , the windows were not clean enough to enjoy a nice ocean view ,, with streaks on it ,, there was some squeaking in the cabin , which kept me up a couple of nights ,, we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary ,, I expected a cake or a bottle of champagne as courtesy as we were 7 of us , friends who came on this cruise to celebrate my anniversary ,, but my friends had to pay to buy us a cake and the dining room staff did attempt to brighten up the mood . The food was good but went twice to the lido deck which I understand is by the pool area ,, but seeing young teenagers running in and out in their swimming trunks and some people just strolling in with 300 plus pounds on them without a towel or any covering just their swim costumes made me loose my appetite to dine in the restaurant .

Pros: The itineary

Cons: The people walking in thru the dining area by the pool deck (Lido) with their swimming costumes on ,,

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED) 28? No.

Castries, St. Lucia
Basseterre, St. Kitts
Nice beaches ,
Visited the waterfalls ,, kinda okay and the botanical gardens were a waste of money and time,, my backyard has more plants than the botanical gardens on 40 acres ,,total waste ,, the govt needs to step up to the plate and make it a proper garden to generate revenue ,,
Bridgetown, Barbados
It was the best island ,, very clean and the drivers were so so polite ,
St. John's, Antigua
went to turner beach ,, was informed this is a nice quiet beach,, but alas there were locals doing business with wave runners and it got noisy after a while ,,
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
The beaches were nice and pristine ,
