Why Carnival is known as the "fun ship"

Sail Date: October 29, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Now I know why they call Carnival the "fun ship" - there is something for everybody. We didn't utilize all the dance clubs, but we did enjoy the Las Vegas-type shows. They had a lot of activities for kids, and there were a zillion of them on board. Loved our balcony stateroom - it was the largest I've seen and the best price of any cruise line.

Pros: The balcony stateroom

Cons: Breakfast at the Lido buffet

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED)? Yes!

Bridgetown, Barbados

Don't Miss: The beaches are lovely - good snorkeling.
Dominica
The Emerald Pool was a waste of time - too crowded. Trafalgar Falls was pretty.
Don't Miss: Champagne Pool had the best snorkeling ever!
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
We loved the beaches - lots to choose from. Snorkeling at Coki Beach was great.
Don't Miss: Shopping for jewelry

De Palm Island is a waste of time, but Eagle Beach is the best beach ever and it's only a $1.15 bus ride from the ship.
Don't Miss: The beaches are gorgeous!
