Review summary
We cruised on Carnival Destiny out of San Juan PR to the Southern Caribbean. We chose this cruise because of the many different ports and we loved visiting each one. St Lucia and Dominica were absolutely beautiful, we loved the Barbados wildlife preserve and snorkeling on Antigua. Some of the shore excursions were thu the ship and and some independent. Our cabin stewards and waitstaff were excellent. The room was OK but not as nice as other cruise ship rooms we have had . I thought the food in the dining room was quite good, however the breakfast buffet ranged from just OK to really awful -- we only went there a couple of times and then ate in the dining room. The ship atmosphere was OK but a little gaudy for my taste and the smell of smoke permeated too many rooms.Ship experiences
