Honeymoon and First Cruise by TheJacksonTwo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We decided to take our first cruise for our honeymoon. Our favorite part was the casino and having a balcony room. We wish that there was more to do on the trip. Maybe bowling or a pool table, but more activities are needed. The food was good for the first two days, but after the first two days, the taste got progressively worse. The Renoir Restaurant was great. We really enjoyed that and the food was delicious there. We feel a 6 day cruise was too much for us. We think that a 4 day cruise would have been perfect. Overall not bad for our first cruise but it could have been better.

First cruise and not the last by Davesworld2017

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Literally had the best time of my life. Overall great experience. Saw 3 countries and had a breath taking experience in each one. Service on the carnival conquest was great, everything ran smooth with no hiccups. Food was great, atomosphere was great and weather was great. Considering you can drink until you need your stomach pumped I was surprised to see everyone drinking responsibly. No annoying drinks no fighting nothing lol. I can go on for pages on the experience, hands down great time!!

We had an awesome time. The service was great as well as everyone from our room service to the dining room staff (table 500). We took 2 excursions and enjoyed them both. Like to say thanks to our room  steward Herry and bar server Arif at the Blue Iguana

We got our money's worth! by LisaPyenson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Cruise price was reasonable and affordable.  Next time we will spend more and book a room with a balcony, but the interior room was plenty big and accommodating. Carnival Conquest was a nice ship, great people working on board. Wish they had posted the menu for the dining room, but mostly ate in the buffet. Booked excursions through BJ's as well, very smart as there were more options than on board and they were less expensive and less crowded. Comedy shows on board were fabulous!

A Great Itinerary by susantnqueen

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I chose this cruise due to the unique combination of ports where we would stop.  I have been to quite a few Caribbean islands, but it was my first visit to each of these ports.  Curacao was definitely the highlight.  Underwhelmed by La Romana.  The ship was nice.  Not a lot of frills, but met  expectations for the price point of the cruise.  Cruise ship staff wonderful.

Southern Cruise by jagriffith

Stateroom and Dining Room Staff were fantastic!  All needs were met by the friendly staff.  Room was always cleaned in a timely manner. Dining room staff were very accommodating and friendly.  Our first cruise was on the Conquest and we have taken 6 additional cruises.  It was nice to return to the Conquest and even though the crew was different it still excelled in a wonderful experience.

Carnival Conquest Cruise 2017 by randilala

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

On February 4th- 12th I took a cruise w/ Carnival on their ship  Carnival Conquest. Unfortulently, I  didn't really enjoy my experience with cruising on the carnival conquest. I felt that the ships layout was very challenging and difficult to navigate and because of the way the ship was laid out I felt it was difficult to acclimate to  the ship and to know where everything was and to have easy access to everything on  ship. I also felt that the ships culinary food service team and the dinning room experience was very poor w/ their costumer service and their food  service.  I had to wait a long  time to get seated, I had to wait along time to even be served my drinks and if I wanted a stake and food. When I ordered my food after waiting a long time to receive it I felt that the portion size and the way the chefs presented it to me was poor. I also felt that it was strange that the stake and other meats were as small as hockey pucks or the size of small portions. I also didn't like how the timing of the food  service wasn't accurate. My friend got her food before me and  I almost didn't get mine. Also it was very noisy in the dinning room where you couldn't carry on a nice conversation w/ friends  and you couldn't dine in a relaxed calm environment. Also in the mess hall the food variety wasn't very much to choose from and wasn't set out for customers if they came out to eat early in the mourning. I also felt that the there wasn't very much activities to do on ship in the daytime or @ night. The daytime entertainment on ledo deck was very low and the night life didn't really have much fun things to do either.

Great cruise by lazeydazey

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I won over $1,700.00 in the casino playing $200.00 in slots over 2 days. I spent $100.00 each day.

Cabin Steward wasn't good. He was never around. There were 3 of us in a suite and only enough towels for 2 people. No matter how much we asked for an extra set, it went in noticed. The Cabin Stewards name was Voltar. We were in cabin 7330. Bathtub/shower wasn't configured right.

Lots of space for clothes, etc.. Went out on the balcony nightly. It was loverly.

Guy's burgers are a must. Best Hamburger I have ever eaten. our waiter Rommel from the Philippines was amazing. Great service.

only went to 1 show and it was OK. We did sports trivia and other trivia daily and won 10 ships on a stick and a bottle of Champagne.

We saw the Superbowl on the ship. Went to the pizza place and got pizza and ceasar salads. Pizza was phenomenal. Great turnout in the theater for the game. My PATRIOTS won.

Only drawback was the disembarkation. Waited 3 hrs before we could get off and we had priority .

Over all a really nice cruise. The ship was very nice, it was clean and loverly

A 2 year hiatus reveals surprises. by johnk231

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

A 2 year hiatus, because of family medical issues, revealed, to us, changes that do not meet, let alone exceed, our expectations. The changes in the menu were not "enhancements" that lead to our enjoyment in the dining room. The waitstaff seemed over extended and over worked because of, our perceived, staffing changes. Relationships were not able to be made with the staff. This was a first for us and diminished our experience significantly. The housekeeping staff met our expectations but also seemed to be spread thin. Now the positive. The itinerary was great. We loved both stops in the Dominican Republic, Curacao and a return to Aruba. Live music was good and we enjoyed the shows and the comedians. The  fifth star was dropped because of the changes in staffing and the food.

Great cruise. by Timberwolf

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

We enjoyed our cruise. Service was great. Enjoyed all the ports my favorite was Santo Domingo. The shoreline needs some clean up,but the town was so much fun. I would go back on this cruise again. We did the ATV excursion in Aruba and their are no words that can describe how AWSOME this was. Do this if you can. Sells out early so get your tickets ASAP.

Great Trip and Relaxing On Board Experience by ma11478

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Everything went very smoothly with only one concern, our excursion in Grand Turk was cancelled, but we were able to book another one the next morning without missing anything. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful, the staterooms were very clean and plenty of activities if you want to get involved. Great trip, great service, great ship.

Fun Cruise Nice Ship by andyf35493252

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We had a great time.

All facets of the cruise were very nice.

We thought the food in the dining room and at the buffets was uninteresting and very bland.

We loved the Taco and Burrito Bar at the Blue Iguana,

The Alchemy Bar was outstanding and a highlight of our week.

Best Vacation Ever. by hollyhammonds7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Honestly, my favorite part of the cruise was our wait staff. Sudi, Crispin and Yayat made every dining experience special. They remembered our favorites, our random requests, and had our bottle of wine on the table before we got there every night. They felt like family by the end of the week!

Aside from that, the destinations were phenomenal as well. I really don't have any complaints about any part of this cruise!

Cruise on Carnival Conquest by myahcobra

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

My favorite part of the Cruise was the Island of Grand Turk Island and would recommend the Cruise to others.  The worse part of the Cruise was the trip to the Coconut Cove Authentic Beach it was horrible. The road to the beach was the worse we experienced and it was by the grace of God that we got back to boat

in one piece.

Cruise was ok by tianneyclements

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

first off the food was amazing. Our best dinners were in the dining room. Our waiter  Jean was the best! We can't say enough about the dining room staff. We had a balcony room on the spa deck it was fine. Our room steward was awful, wee never saw her and she did a terrible job cleaning the room. Coffee stains left on table entire week, floors not vacuumed. Not many employees seem happy on this ship, no one is smiling or greeting. This is an older ship, we booked it for the itinerary only, which we couldn't make ittl Turks due to the wind. Not impressed with the ship and the employees really made it all that much worse.
