We love the Conquest class ships and highly recommend them. All are different and the Artist theme on Conquest is interesting. Great crew, good food, and interesting ports.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We arrived early, waited in the area for Platinum cruisers, then were boarded early. Very smooth operation.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The MDR has excellent food, Guy's burgers and Iguana Mexican food is good and fun, the buffet has good variety, and the bars are quick service with good drinks.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the fitness center every morning. Well-maintained equipment and helpful crew. We did puzzles, and participated in trivia. We always Groove for St Jude" but unfortunately there was limited participation due to a rainstorm and the event was inside. Very nice Platinum party.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The live music throughout the ship was great. The shows were nice but aimed at a younger crowd. Our Classic Rock is from the 50's, 60's, and early 70's.
Children's Programs
No children traveled with us.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We had early dining in the Monet MDR. Excellent service from our waiters at table 436. I have lost my note with their names but they were very attentive - hard for a large table. Our stewards were outstanding! Dan and Muzaki kept cabin 1009 perfect! They also helped with information with our Back-to-Back procedures. Great service!!
Ship Quality

My only complaint is not about the crew but the passengers who think it is OK to leave large trays of leftovers in the halls with food spilling onto the carpet. It happened way too often all over the ship. Maybe we need a cart in a corner near doors where the plates, cups, and trays can be left by anyone unwilling to leave them in their cabins. The decor is dated, but still interesting.
The layout is very familiar as we have been on all of the Conquest class ships. Love them!!
Cabin / Stateroom

Very nice and comfortable, but showing wear. Maybe Conquest will be in for a new look before too many more years.
Ship tip
Use the MDR for breakfast as often as possible. Great food and atmosphere!
We visited the Pirates Treasure A Shipwreck Museum near Havensite. It is a fascinating collection of artifacts from the seas around the Virgin Islands, and even has an actual deep-sea artifact retrieval unit visitors can manipulate to pick up coins.
Great port. We took the excursion Puerta Plata Walking Tour With Lunch. It was a really interesting tour of the old Colonial city. Lunch was an interesting local pork stew with rice. It is always nice to taste delicious foods from other places. Carlos - AKA Pappi - was a great guide. Glad we booked this one!
We were on the Conquest in March. Loved it so much. It is older but well kept. Love the decor , especially on Deck 5, the Sunflower Atrium. Ate breakfast and dinner in MDR. Always hot and delicious. Didn't care for the shows or game shows but still had a great time. Our ports were fantastic.
I also love the Conquest class ships. We have been on the Carnival Liberty and Carnival Freedom but the Carnival Conquest is our favorite cruise ship. We have been on her five times, and would do it again tomorrow
