Love discovering new places and seeing the beauty the Caribbean has to offer.
Embarkation

Long lines, even though we arrived at our scheduled time. And some of the workers weren’t real friendly.

Food and Dining

We have little ones, so we usually ate at the buffet. The salad bar was great! The main course options were lacking a couple of nights.
Onboard Activities

The fitness center was great! We also enjoyed the towel folding class and theater. The pools were always SUPER crowded.
Entertainment
We didn’t go to any, except one magic show.

The staff were wonderful! My 5 year old enjoyed looking at the scheduled activities and choosing the ones he wanted to participate in.

It was perfect for our family of four. We spent more time in there than most since we had rest time for our littles. The balcony was extra nice for this!!
The tender process here wasn’t very good. (Waited at least an hour to get a ride back to the ship.) We did the stingray city & starfish point excursion with Captain Bryan’s. There were certainly neat parts about it, but I probably wouldn’t book through them again. While all the other tour operation seemed to be present when we got to the island, they were not. Then when the girl showed up, she wasn’t very friendly.
We rented a car from Captain Van’s. The meeting instructions were perfect. The only downside was it took about 45 minutes to drive to the office to pick up the vehicle. But we did get to see a lot of the island. And they were very nice! We snorkeled in West End (Half Moon Bay I think) and it was beautiful! You can easily get to the reef from the beach and the water was very calm. (My 5 year old went too!) We also visited Daniel Johnson’s Monkey & Sloths and it was amazing!! Our guide was great! You could tell he truly loved and cared about each animal and enjoyed letting us meet and hold them! We would love to come back to ROATAN for a longer trip!
The tender here was a fast, enjoyable process, even though the actual ride to/from shore was longer. We went Cave tubing and zip lining with Butts Up (cavetubing.com). They were a local company and truly loved sharing their country with us! Cave tubing was absolutely incredible!! The only downside was the whole day felt a little like “hurry up and wait.” But that is to be expected a little when they are trying to make sure we do everything and don’t miss the ship!
We took a taxi ($12 One way for all four of us) to Chankanaab Park. It is beautiful! The sandy beach area was perfect for our 2 year old. The snorkeling here was great too! (Puffer fish, sting ray, lots of fish) The kids enjoyed the sea lion show, crocodiles and playground as well. The facilities are clean and beautiful. The definition of paradise!
