Overall our experience was awful. We have basically no good things to say about Cruiseline.com or Carnival. Customer service for both were downright terrible. The ship was disgusting in both cleanliness and what they serve to you. The people on this cruise were overall rude whether it be the staff or the other people on vacation. If I could go back and NEVER step foot on this boat again, I absolutely would pick another cruise line. This trip made me never want to cruise again that is how bad it was.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
We had an awful experience on this cruise both with the booking via Cruiseline.com & Carnival. This put a damper on things right from the get-go. Embarkation we were trying to enjoy a drink and relax and some man would not stop inappropriately dancing near the DJ. Tons of kids were around us and he was just being so ridiculous, but we tried to look past it.

Food and Dining

Food was not ideal. Very few items were actually tolerable. Often got very sick and spent hours on the toilet after eating. All the drinks were extremely watered down for the price, however, that was still the least of my complaints. Having been on cruises previously there are certain things you expect but Carnival Conquest was subsequently subpar. Best thing I ate that didn't cause immediate diarrhea was the omelette at the buffet but if you wanted one of these you had to wait in line for 10-15+ minutes, even if you got there right away. Lunch buffet caused me to immediately run to the bathroom. Dinner was alright, meaning it didn't cause me to immediately to run to a bathroom but never really settled well. Best part about the trip was maybe the pizza.
Alchemy Bar

They at least had decent cocktails listed that were pretty good but you had to sit there and wait FOREVER to get served.
Onboard Activities

We participated in sliding down the 1 very small water slide that was on the boat. Wouldn't call it much of a water slide but we thought we would try to be optimistic about it. The rest of the pools were way over filled with people and children so we opted to go in the Serenity Lounge area where you had to be 21+. With this we found that it was a little better and quieter than the general populated areas. We searched high and low for the fitness center but couldn't find it to use during our trip which was dissatisfying as well. Having THREE sea days we just weren't overly impressed with our options. Even when trying just to relax we would constantly get disturbed by people asking to take our picture or get us a drink. NEITHER OF WHICH WERE THINGS WE WANTED!

OF THE WHOLE SHIP this may have been the "best" part? Mainly because it was 21+ and the "quietest" the ship was. Even back here you'd get rudely interrupted by people wanting to take your photo and serve you drinks even when you clearly didnt want either.
Entertainment

We did participate in the Comedy shows which maybe were some of the better parts of our "activity" throughout the duration of this cruise. The content was good but catered to a different demographic that I do not necessarily fall under.
Children's Programs
I do not have a child.
Service and Staff

If this is where I could give a 0 I would. Or a -10 for that matter. My room steward was nice, but most of the guests we encountered mentioned being able to get to know theirs on a more personal level and ours definitely did not make that attempt. Waiters were all subpar. We had one lady who was quite rude
Ship Quality

The design was fairly standard? I am assuming. However, everything seemed VERY dirty. The boat had a constant stench of who knows what that just lingered everywhere. This was extremely unsettling. Aside from this everything was dirty. Garbage everywhere, plates left outside of rooms constantly. Which, sure, I get that people order room service...but EVERYTHING stacked up 24/7 on all floors.
Cabin / Stateroom

Comfort was a 0 as our cabin was tiny. Aside from it being tiny, we had multiple issues with our cabin prior to embarkation. They gave us a twin and sofa bed??? What the heck??? So after HOURS AND HOURS (Legit we were on the phone for like 8 hours total hashing this out) we finally got a room that had two twins we could push together. This came at QUITE the cost after we were told there would be no additional charge for swapping the room due to it being an error on their end. Yup, got charged almost $300 for the swap... The cleanliness I would also give a nice low score due to the constant odor that was the ever present aroma of this ship. The sheets and blankets were awful. There was barely any space to breathe (not that we wanted to breathe in the awful air.)
Ship tip
Opt for another cruise line!!! Carnival is awful!! This ship STINKS in every which way!!
Curacao was awesome as well. HOWEVER, whoever planned this whole cruise out clearly didn't do their homework because it was a holiday in Curacao the day we were there. Almost EVERYTHING was closed! This was extremely disappointing.
Aruba was fun! Beaches were pretty, but our beach excursion brought us to a somewhat dingy area. Another unsettling issue was how very much our tour guide was really pushing everyone to come back to Aruba. It got to a point where it was WAY TOO PUSHY.
We waited FOREVER trying to get off the ship. Customs went quickly, however, we were told the wrong terminal when leaving the ship so our uber couldnt get to us. Then our second uber ALSO couldnt get to us because we didn't have the right information input. After about 30 minutes of waiting they FINALLY got to us.
Curious, you say you have cruised before; did you research the cabins and their sizes before booking? I have done 10 Carnival cruises and while there is the occasional crew member that might be ‘unfriendly’ I find a large part of the crew is always nice and happy. I make a point of saying Hello and smiling. I always get the a smile back.
Just cruised on conquest in March and everything was fantastic. Staff worked hard making everyone happy and fixed any little issues immediately. Had such a good time that I’ve already booked another cruise on conquest for next year
