Review summary

Ok cruise, probably wouldn't choose the Conquest again until it is refurbished

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Process had changed since the last Carnival cruise, more streamlined, good improvement

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining wonderful, only one meal not good and as usual was offered something else. Didn't use specialty restaurants and buffets were ok. Love the deli and Guys Burgers

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
I liked the trivia games, especially with Rob

Entertainment

4 out of 5
They were good, but wish they had more variety for the stage shows

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Theresa, Jay and Kim were excellent wait staff, even though we had Your Time Dining, we requested their area every night after the 2nd evening

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Layout ok, cleanliness ok. The tables in the buffet need to be cleaned better, when they wipe down the tables they need to use a little more elbow grease, very seldom when we sat down at a table was it free of sticky spots. Also the sewerage smell needs to be addressed, this is our 3 Conquest cruise in 4 years and the problem seems to be getting worse. It's not continuous or all over the ship, but at some point each day you could smell it

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Ok, only wish the 3rd bed (couch) was more comfortable

Ports of call

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

Conquest was refurbished one year ago . After all. It is a 17 year old ship . Cruising the seas with thousands of people every week .

You must be a very picky person. We were on the Conquest a week before you and loved it. Sure, it’s an older ship but very well kept and really beautiful. The lights on the bottom of the hallway are so pretty and in the cabin all along the top of the walls. The food in MDR is delicious. Not crazy about buffet but enjoyed Guys burgers, The Deli, Blue Iguana and pizza for lunch. Not to mention the all you can eat ice cream at different areas around the ship. Did you go to the 5th deck and see the beautiful Sunflower Atrium? Shows weren’t that great but the ports were fabulous. Loved it
