Another great time on a Carnival Cruise Ship - the Conquest is the right size ship to be on in the Caribbean. We have sailed here twice now and enjoyed each itinerary. Staff and crew are great and helpful at all times.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Fast, and friendly - my wife needs assistance and they were very helpful getting her on the ship away from the crowds
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was good, but buffet food was not very hot most of the time! Dining room food was good and service was great. Seems the food selection has gone downhill a bit as has the quality in some areas - Not all!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Activities were good and plenty of them - fitness center was well provisioned as were other areas. Dive in Movie nights were good as well
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The main show performer were exceptional and did an amazing job on all the shows we attended - great cast and crew!
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Waiters were great as always, Customer service people were great and most helpful in getting several issues corrected for us including AC failure and Arcade noise from a newly installed piano game that woke us up for 2 nights. Cabin staff was good, but kept leaving the next day flyer information on the floor instead of the mailbox - did anything we asked for quickly
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
ship was clean and layout was as we remembered - still annoying to get to the deck 3 dining room by the atrium - long walk from midships and aft cabins. Ship is showing it's age - saw lots of rust spots and wear areas all around the ship from the railings to the deck areas.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
cabin size was as expected - it didn't increase from the last time we sailed on Conquest - interior could use updating and brightening up - again, the ship is aging and needs refurbishment.
Ship tip
Great size ship and just the right amount of staff and guests - not a floating city and you will not get lost in the crowd.
construction around terminal 4 made out drop off a mess - had to walk from the crew entrance around to the guest area with baggage - did not like that!
Aruba what we saw was just ok, would not go back, but we only saw between our ship and the Excursion area and the main area - rather run down and did not seem to be much after the main street area.
