Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
MDR was beautiful and service was excellent. Each night we were seated immediately. Food choice was a bit more limited than other cruise lines I have been on, but all food was cooked to perfection. I was a bit surprised that both buffets were completely closed frequently. Decor in buffets was tasteful and food was very good. Pizza Pirate was a big disappointment, although hand tossed the crust had a graham cracker feel to it. No air pockets from dough development. Open 24 hrs. However.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Fitness center was adequate. Pools were crowded, but well kept.

Entertainment

Shows were not great. I gave up on the main shows in the theater. A couple of nights of Hasbro Game show with cheesy travel game prizes. Comedians at the Punchliner were OK. Dean Gaines was great!

Service and Staff

Both Room Stewards were top notch.

Ship Quality

Design of ship and layout were excellent

Cabin / Stateroom

First Cabin: # 2467, Nice room in the desired aft section of ship, until we woken during the night with water dripping from ceiling. Called Steward who contacted a plumber. 1/2 hour later he showed up and approx. an hour later he corrected the problem, room was soaked as well as bed. A supervisor argued with guest services, he told them the guests cannot stay in the room. Finally we were moved to the very forward of the ship. Room was the same except for the noise, banging doors all night as well as increased motion of ship. Refrigerator wasn't working and I needed it for medication. Steward brought refrigerator from old room. I don't understand why they knowingly have a room with a non working appliance and put a guest in it.

Ship tip

Be aware that although it is a rehabbed ship and beautiful, it is very old, (15 years), and shows it's age.
