Review summary

Very relaxing cruise. Enjoyed ourselves immensely. The ship could definitely use updates. Same salmon color in cabins. Not as nice as the Victory or Splendor - even though the Splendor also needed to be updated. Decor, however, wasn't a big deal.

Have been on 7 or 8 Carnival cruises - and food wasn't quite up to par. Bars were tended by too few bartenders -especially noticeable from 5 on.

Got very tired of the violins. Gals were talented, but having them each night in the Atrium Bar got "old" real fast. Later in the evening the 5 piece (?) group was great!

Service and Staff

Many excelled - cabin steward - GREAT - but many of the staff - especially those greeting us as we boarded the ship after excursions - looked as though we were the enemy returning. Very unwelcoming. In general, we found this staff not as fun or happy as on all of our other cruises. Please note that there were many exceptions...but in general...not a super friendly group. I think they were overworked. Had the staff been cut on this cruise?
