Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Buffet food was not good . Main dining room was ok. Guys burger was good deli was good pizza was ok to good. We did the stake house one night . The food was good to great but the service was some of the worst service I have ever had. Had to ask 3-4 times for everything. More butter took 3 ask and took 10 min. Drink refill 4 asks and 10-15 minutes. After dinner coffee 3 times and took 10-15 minutes. Seem like they bought things out every 10-15 minutes and didn’t care what you wanted or when. Don’t spend the $38 each .
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Not many pools and were small. Activities were meh.if you like load music and drunks on main deck this is the cruis line for you.
Entertainment
Did some was ok
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The waiters in main dining was great. Room steward was great. Staff at pizza, deli and half the bars acted like they were doing you a favor by getting you food or drink. Staff at guys was much better.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Was clean and layout was ok.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was 1046 every time I enter that switches to 1205
Standard cabin nothing great nothing bad. Shower drain slow. By the end of your shower would be ankle deep.
Ship tip
Ship is starting to get old would find a newer ship. This was our carnival cruise and was really not our style. If you want a party ship where half the people have bought the all the booze you can drink and you can tell. Then carnival is for you.
Did the big zip line. There were 5 or 6 cruise ships in port this day. Waited 2 and a half hour in the sun to with not were to sit to go down the big zip line. It was ok they have brakes so you don’t really go the fast
Was clean and felt safe. Did see any hurricane damage at all. Walked to fort about a mile away and it was free day. So was free to get in and walk around. Think it normally cost $10 or so. If I would have had to pay it would have been worth it.
After 60 cruises with carnival , I have to admit that the ships have gone down hill with music . It used to be early morning. You could sit by the pool and relax And have coffee with nice quiet. Music . Or watch good morning America on the big screen and catch up on news , instead of all the head banging music , and the DUMB morning show on each ship . And the ships should come back to live bands all over the ships instead of violin music , or solo guitar players who spend most of their time running up , especially in the casino , go back to goof dance bands in the casino .
Well, we're giving it a try in March. Because of it being known as a party ship we've never wanted to go but our neighbors always go Carnival and love it so we're giving it a try. We've been on 8 other cruises and loved them all.
