Overall it was a great cruise and great service from the staff. Our purpose of this cruise was to expose our oldest son and my mother to the cruise experience. It served that purpose and now everyone has been bitten by the cruise bug! All of us are already exploring and planning our next cruise for next year.

I did not like the safety briefing. It was way too long and too hot. A passenger next to us passed out due to the heat and length. They need to find a better process.

The buffet was limited compared to other cruise lines I've been on. It was good. No one went hungry-just not as many options. The omelet station wait was long. I think they needed more stations. The hot chocolate in the buffet was nasty. I ended up buying hot chocolate from the place on deck 5 which was not expensive and the hot chocolate and service were amazing!
Renoir Restaurant

Overall the restaurant was good. Some evenings were a stretch to put together a few foods that we liked. The staff was amazing though and we really enjoyed when they danced on the tables.
Coffee Bar

The coffee/hot chocolate prices were good for a cruise. The staff member (I can't remember her name) was great! Make sure to get the card. After six purchases, you get a free drink
Onboard Activities

It's a smaller ship so they do not have as much as others. My husband spent a lot of time in the casino. I did not like that smoking was allowed in the casino. my son and I played mini golf which was much better than I expected.

Warning-beware of the adult shows. one of them is very explicit (sex). The other comedians were great though. The music shows were good too.

If they are going to allow smoking in the casino, it should be at the end of a deck, not right in the middle, especially on the deck that has many activities on either end. You have to walk right through all the smoke to get to anything or go up and round and down. Many picture ops were int he casino too.
Cabin / Stateroom

It was great! This was the first cruise we've gotten an balcony on and we'll never go back. Our balcony door had a few issues but they fixed it very quickly.
Ship tip
Due to the size of the ship and limited activities, I'd keep it to no more than a 6 day cruise. It's also an older ship and the decor dates it. Its nice but if you've been on newer ships-just be prepared. Still nice but older.
They made us get disembarkation numbers and then didn't even use them because the terminal was so backed up they just cleared everyone out. It was a mess. I would definitely consider doing the express which means you have to carry all your own luggage but tit might worth it to avoid the mess.
Thanks for the great review but I'm a little confused. In one section you said hit was a parents only cruise and in another section you put you and your son played mini golf.??
