Review summary

Overall, I loved this cruise! The fellow cruisers are friendly and the atmosphere was laid back and fun! My only complaint was having to go to the bar every time I wanted a soda. I purchased the bottomless bubbles package but found it very inconvenient to have to stop at a bar on my way to lunch to get a drink, etc. This was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise fantastic vacation. Would definitely recommend.

Embarkation

Getting on the ship was "smooth sailing"! Very quick and efficient process.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
This is one area where I was underwhelmed. The food at the buffet was mediocre as was the selection. The food in the dining room was only slightly better but the service was outstanding! My favorite place's to eat were Guy's Burger Joint and the Cantina - both delicious options. My son also really enjoyed the sushi bar - this was an option you pay for but the prices were reasonable.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There was plenty of deck space to lounge in or out of the sun. I enjoyed my visit to the spa while my son made use of the basketball court. The casino was fun.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
There was always some form of entertainment going on somewhere! We really enjoyed the musicians & the nightly interactive games/shows in the lobby. Our cruise director, Matt, was beyond awesome! Totally entertaining & approachable. He seemed more available to the guests than I have seen with other cruise directors. Definitely added to the experience. I even found a handwritten note & chocolate covered strawberries from Matt waiting for me in my cabin on my birthday!

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
My son is 17. There were not a ton of teens on the ship so Club 02 never seemed to be open. That being said, my son found plenty of kids his age to hang out with on the ship. He had a fantastic time!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Cannot say enough about the service. Every staff member we encountered was fantastic. Our room steward, Muhommad, was extra awesome! His personality was an absolute bright spot in every day. Our head waitress, Theresa, was beyond compare. She had an amazing sense of humor which made up for the lackluster food.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was extremely clean and well maintained. My only issue was with finding the restrooms in the public areas. They were not all easy to find or clearly marked unless you were right in front of the door.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our room was spacious for a ship cabin. Very clean and well stocked thanks to our room steward, Mohommad. Could not hear much noise from the ship or other cabins. Beds and linens were very comfortable. I was completely satisfied.

Ship tip

Get an idea of where the public restrooms are located at the beginning of your cruise. They are not always easy to find.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
I did enjoy this port. We explored on our own. A lot of shopping & restaurants. There is a lot of traffic and cars that seem to come out of nowhere which was the one drawback to this port. I would probably stay on ship if I cruised here again.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
The most picturesque beach I have ever seen! Beautiful crystal blue water and sand as soft as powder. We rented a cabana for the day. WORTH EVERY PENNY! The cabana was stocked with drinks & snacks and also included floating water mats & snorkel gear to use. The best beach day ever!!!!

Grand Turk Island

4 out of 5
Beautiful beach area! We rented a golf cart and explored the island. Definitely recommend the golf cart and the Pina Coladas at the Reef Bar on the beach!

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
The cruise center in Amber Cove is new and fantastic. Lots to do without leaving that area. We booked an atv tour through Cruises Only. I definitely recommend. The scenery is beautiful and the guides were fantastic. Great way to experience this port!

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Disembarking from the ship was pretty efficient. Once you were on land it was a different story. Customs seemed to take longer. Maybe due to government shutdown. Only 3 lines for thousands of passengers.

Hope this wasn’t a fake review. No cruises listed. Will be on the Conquest in March and hoping we will love it, especially the food!
