Review summary

Overall the cruise was the perfect length, and the stops were perfect. Next time we will try another ship, or perhaps cruise line, because we were very disappointed in the level of service by the crew.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
BEST Embarkation experience EVER. We took an Uber from FLL to the cruise port and NEVER stopped walking until we were on the boat! Probably took us about 15 minutes to get through the process and get on board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room food was always EXCELLENT, Buffets were always fresh and stocked, however the specialty restaurant fell short. Staff in the steak house was rude, and they cooked my steak wrong twice. First time I ordered it medium, it came out beyond well done. I alerted the manager and she informed me "Well what did you expect when you order a Filet Mignon well done?". They had the steak remade and this time it was so rare i could not even get my fork through it, and the center was refrigerator cold. They offered no other alternative and pretty much asked us to leave.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We were NEVER bored! There was always something to do, from trivia, movies, pools, bingo, and everything else.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The stage shows disappointed me in the way that there was no variety. Every show was a concert of 70s or 80s music. The show themselves were well performed and executed, but not for me. In the past there has been magician shows and more variety.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Other than a handful of awesome staff, the experience was pretty miserable for us because the staff was miserable. There was a severe language barrier with most the staff, and they were all rude and/or miserable looking. If it wasn't for our stateroom steward Oka, the experience would have been awful overall.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Design is a bit outdated, but overall the ship layout keeps traffic flowing. The ship was clean at all times.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was the first time we booked interior (only traveling in balcony rooms before) and honestly we preferred our interior! The room was spacious, the closets were more than adequate for our four large suitcases AND their contents, AND we had a fridge!! Being on deck one was great because it was always quiet, and on port days we only had to go down one flight of stairs to get off the boat!

Ship tip

Familiarize yourself with the location of the dining rooms before dinner! We were in the rear dining room and it took us a while to find it because there is a dining room in the center of the ship as well that blocks walk through on two floors.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Grand Turk Island

Overall this is my favorite port EVER. The water/beaches are AMAZING, the locals are friendly, good hearted, and amazing people, everything is very close, and there is lots to do. We booked a snorkeling excursion to the wall and it was great!

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
San Juan is a gorgeous town, however it is a high crime area and we did not feel secure here.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
St. Thomas is GORGEOUS! The shopping was AMAZING, and the views are awesome. We visited the mountain top and went to Magen's Cay Beach. Great beach.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

We booked an excursion to Ocean World this port and did the VIP Dolphin Swim and tour. The park was beautiful, well kept, and had amazing shows. The tour itself fell short. We were assigned a guide and he left us on multiple occasions, and the entire group missed half the shows. We will go back to ocean world, but we will save the $160 and just go on our own.
