This cruise was booked to celebrate my 55th birthday! My sister and cousin, whose birthdays are also in February, celebrates their birthdays as well! This was a phenomenal vacation! 3 East Coast and 2 West Coast cousins cruising and celebrating together was the BEST vacation ever!! Everything went smooth and we truly enjoyed every day on the Conquest! We have already began to book our cruise for next year! Than you Carnival for making my birthday very special!!!

Embarkation was extremely fast! I was going to purchase the Fast Pass to Fun, but it wasn’t necessary at all. At least not for me! All staff were extremely nice and we have great pics to look back on.

The dining room was nice! We dining restaurant was the Monet. I wish that we were in a better spot! We were by a window, which was nice, but we had late seating, so it was pitch black outside and not much to look at! We also couldn’t really see much of the dining room from our seats. The food and drinks were excellent as always on Carnival! Our waitstaff Aoyphy and Philip were professional, personable and exceptional at their job serving us! It’s amazing that they can remember our names! I was very impressed with them!

Onboard Activities

I went to the fitness center once and enjoyed my workout! The beds are so comfortable, you don’t want to get of them in the morning! lol! We had an issue at the pool. We put our towels and our towel clips on our chairs, went to get some food and a very rude passenger and his family took our chairs and removed our towels and clips from them! It just so happened to be my birthday that day! It was also our first time to the pool! We had 5 chairs and 3 were taken! After speaking to pursers desk, the had me speak to Stefan! He was absolutely amazing! He and a few staff members were able to find us 3 more lounge chairs and we were able to put them in the same spot we had our other chairs! We sat right next to that rude man and had a great time at the pool! The young lady at the pursers desk also sent a bottle of champagne to the Monet Restaurant to help celebrate my birthday that night! I can’t remember her name, but she was blonde and very sweet! Our next time at the pool went much smoother, because we made sure at least one of us were by our chairs all day! lol!! Lots of activities go on at the pool! We watched the hairy chest contest and that was hilarious!

Service and staff were EXCELLENT!!!! Hey didn’t get a picture of Gusti or Purninaa, but Gusti was fantastic! Our rooms were clean every single day! He spoke to us every time he saw us and was always smiling! Purninaa came to our room to bring some tea we ordered on our last night and she was a breath of fresh air! Very nice and charming! We got to know a little bit about her and she’s amazing! It was a nice ending to our trip. The

The ship was SPOTLESS!!!!! Never saw any mess on that ship at all! With 2500 people on board, you would think that they would miss something, but they never did! It looked like we had just boarded every single day! Great job guys!!!
Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was beautiful!! I always get a balcony room! I enjoy keeping my balcony door open at night to hear the waves! Kills me to sleep! We had a cabin that sleeps 3 and it was big enough for the 3 of us to move around and sleep comfortably! We are considering a suite next time! ☺️
Ship tip
I would give this advise to anyone taking a cruise! Fly in a day early and board your ship early! It takes a lot of stress away! I do this every time I cruise and I’m never stressed about missing my flight or flight delays on the day of my cruise! I’m at the port by 12:30 and on board and relaxing my 1:30. The
St Marteen got tore up pretty bad from those two hurricanes! It’s going to take at least 2 yrs for the island to fully recover! It broke my heart to see the devastation to the island and the struggles the natives are going through! There are still beautiful parts to see, and we did! Went to my first ever nude beach! That was interesting! lol!!!
San Juan is still in bad shape! Parts of the island still doesn’t have electricity! It’s very sad to see our own struggling, while money is spent on other unimportant things! We stayed close to the port and spent as much money as I could to help put money in their pockets! I’ve been to San Juan a few times, so we didn’t take a tour.
I was a little disappointed in Grand Turk! I guess I was expecting more, since I’ve heard so much about it and it being my first time to this island! I had fun and we shopped til we dropped, but it just wasn’t a WOW island for me.
Disembarkation went smooth! The line through customs was crazy, but moved swiftly, so it wasn’t bad at all! We disembarked in the late tour, so we had breakfast and hung out until our number was called! We didn’t have a plane to catch that day, so no rushing for us!
