Review summary

I think Carnival is slipping, not near the staff as previous cruises, food was terrible, boat needs upgraded, the team members by the pool were not friendly at all.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Our appointment time to get on boat was 11:30 and it was at least 12:30 before we got on

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food was not good in the buffet, same thing every day, limited to two pieces of bacon, no variety, in the dining room the wait for any time dining was very long, the times we did eat in the dining room, food was cold, took a long time to be served, no water on table, had to ask for bread.

Red Frog Rum Bar

5 out of 5

we had an awesome server named Ronricco, (I think that's how to spell it) he was awesome.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Rooms in the past were cleaned or taken care of twice daily, this time only once. Sub par at best.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
No trash cans by the pool area, or by the elevators, people were sitting cups, plates even ice cream cones on the floor because of no trash receptacles.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
It was ok, needs more outlets, needs upgrading, we couldn't open the balcony between our two rooms.

Ship tip

Don't expect a lot or you will be disappointed. When you buy the bubbles package you have to go to the bar to get a soda, there are no soda machines to get your own soda, also you now have to buy the soda cup in addition to the cost of the endless bubbles, the cup used to be included.

Ports of call

Again not at port very long 2:00 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
It seemed like we waited a long time to get off boat. Which is pretty standard, just depends on the port of disembarkment.

I loved conquest.

Never had a problem with Carnival ships. I’ll be on Conquest in 22 days and looking forward to it. I think some people only look for the negative. It makes them feel superior.

Was also on the conquest 2 years ago really enjoyed myself, the ship was upgraded in September 2017 it says online. I also remember it went in dry dock for it refreshing. Looking to cruise again very soon.

We have only been cruising since 2012...when we started, the service was excellent and always on time. Unfortunately, there have been many cutbacks, & the most in MDR. It is sad to me. They work so very hard and I do not understand cutting back there. I'd trade all the new specialty restaurants for the quality they once offered.

I didn't have that problem. Staff was awesome. Now CARNIVAL VICTORY need a true make over.

I will be back on the conquest in a month . Loved it 2 years ago! . Last year on the magic I thought same as you but thought was this boat . The staff service was half as good as previous year while on the conquest . Now I’m thinkin it’s on purpose: cutbacks in staff ! Hoping I’m wrong looking forward to getting back on conquest 🙄
