This cruise was a short 5 night with my daughters. Our goal was to enjoy time away and 2 wonderful beaches! Success! Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
We chose to use the Carnival transport from Ft. Lauderdale airport to the port. The wait at baggage for our ride was long. We arrived at 12:40pm and hoped to get there quicker. They wanted to have as full a bus as possible. Realistically we could have gotten a taxi and been been there an hour before we ever left on the bus. Once on the bus, it was great! We arrived at the port and went through the line with no difficulty.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
I'm able to use this as my personal preference because I'm comparing Carnival to Royal Caribbean on this one. My personal take...
Carnival has better buffet options and great choices. Dining in the evening? Royal Caribbean has Carnival beat hands down. Service in the dining room on the Conquest was so slow we were actually forgotten often. The waiter was wonderful. He just came back from being gone 2 months and had 2 newbies to train and our table was out of the way for him. He seemed to have too many.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The only activities we participated in was watching karaoke, which broke down on the 3rd day, so that was over. We went to the gym a couple of times.
Library was very nice with comfy chairs but located near the loud music/bar area. Library also had all the games in it! So kids were in and out too. No way at all to enjoy a quiet room for relaxation.
Entertainment

What entertainment?
Conquest had their own 8 singers/dancers. They were very talented. They did a couple performances. Their set broke so a performance cancelled.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
This was hit & miss. For the most part they were nice. There was not the Comeraderie between them that we see and experienced on all the other cruises we have been on. There were only 3 staff who were very friendly. Our waiter was very nice, a person at the front desk and future cruises. Others were 'trying'.
Not one bar tender was friendly even when we tried to visit. They were so busy. They all seemed so 'tired'. We were very friendly and smililing. Mostly they were quiet. We had to
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Ship was definitely in need of some cleaning. 🤷🏻♀️
I had to be careful walking around a couple areas in the buffet part. The floor stayed greasy/slick.
Our shower did not drain at all but they fixed it right away. Our light switch to the bathroom sometimes didn't work.
The 8th deck had a serious water pipe burst/break. Water was flowing down the stairs to the next deck.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We had a room for 4. 2 bunks on top.
Loved (Lived) my mattress on the bottom!!! Loved my pillow!!! Much better than my previous cruise Bed on Royal in this past March.
My 2 adult daughters had the top bunks. Their mattress was not comfy. It was hard. We asked our steward for something to make it softer.
The girls finally just slept on the comforter for more cushion. I asked for an extra comfortor for them. One was in the cabinet. Maybe we weren't allowed to have it? So one of our girls just doubled up on sheets and a blanket.
Loved it! We choose to rent our own golf cart to putt around the island on our own.
Jack's shack is outgoing to! Always the best of the best! Say hi to Christopher! Best dog!
Always the best beach to visit!
Absolutely beautiful! Don't forget sunscreen!
You might want to bring a little blow up floaty of your own for when you get there. If you're not adventurous or into anything but relaxing.
