Review summary

The itinerary was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at sea so we could relax.  The inclement weather cast a damper on things for a couple days but thankfully we didn't miss any ports.  The selection of food and restaurants were great for the most part.  I absolutely loved Guy's Burgers.  Entertainment was excellent.  The only down sides were that there was a big problem with adolescences roaming the ship being loud and obnoxious, especially at night during all hours that either woke us up or kept us from sleeping, security was hard pressed to be able to track down the culprits, and disembarkation didn't go as it was presented.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Milk and yogurt was lukewarm at best - one day the milk was curdled even though it had not passed the expiration date - this is a potential health/food poisoning problem. Cold items need to be kept cold in ice or in a cooler. The iced tea tasted stale or like the ice tea machines had not been cleaned in a very long time. I tried several times to see if it was just a one time occurrence but it wasn't. I ended up having to make my own iced tea using tea bags, hot water and ice :( Desserts were mediocre and the sit down breakfasts were a big disappointment. I like to be pampered by having a sit down dining experience when I'm on vacation so it would have been nice to have freshly cooked menu items for breakfast not something stale and apparently grabbed off of the buffet line. The buffet line for lunch was fine as we had a wide selection of restaurants and/or food items to choose from. Dining room staff of Kadek, Paiboon and Miguel were wonderful. Very friendly, accommodating and efficient. And, my traveling companion and I really appreciated being allowed to be transferred to the early dining seating as my friend had medical considerations that were complicated by dining too late.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I would have liked to use more of the Spa services but unfortunately I felt they were too expensive.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Thoroughly enjoyed the variety and quality of the entertainment on-board. The special affects were amazing and the magician was great. The violinists were exceptional as well.

Children's Programs

NA since we didn't bring any children w/ us.

Service and Staff

Again, dining room staff of Kadek, Paiboon and Miguel were wonderful. Very friendly, accommodating and efficient. And, my traveling companion and I really appreciated being allowed to be transferred to the early dining seating as my friend had medical considerations that were complicated by dining too late.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The cabin layout and cleanliness was just fine. The problems that arose were maintenance/mechanical in nature. We had to call at least 3 times for them to fix the AC unit/vent. The first time it was because something kept rattling quite loudly, waking us up or keeping us awake. The second time the AC had quit working perhaps because of how the rattle was eliminated???? The third time was when the AC couldn't be regulated and we were freezing. The fourth time there was a different noise coming from the AC unit :(
