Review summary

After having been on 11 cruises, we were forced by Carnival to book this horrible cruise. We had planned a round trip Hawaii cruise on Carnival since they were the only line doing round trip, but had to cancel because of unexpected happenings. They refused to return our $1200 payment and said we had to use it to book another Carnival cruise (for which they charged an additional $100). Never have we been refused a return of a downpayment on any other cruise line. But, getting back to the Conquest....it should be in the scrap heap. The "dining room" was a low class restaurant and we had a booth with no tablecloth situated beside the station where they dumped the uneaten food from other people's plates. It was so disgusting we could barely eat, which really didn't matter because the food was rotten. The waiters and assistant waiters were uninterested in whether we had everything or not..nobody ever asked us what we wanted to drink so I asked for iced tea the first night. That was the only night I got iced tea. The noise in the restaurant was so bad with dishes clanging and waiters rushing around and being so crowded together that even if the food would have been good, we couldn't have enjoyed it because of the atmosphere which was horrendous. The ship "décor" is dark and foreboding and does not look like a place where you might have a bright good time. In other words, this was the cruise and ship from Hell. Don't ever go on it.

Balcony was almost too small to sit on without banging your knees on the glass. Cabin was ok, similar to most cabins on other ships.

Like I said, cruising is what YOU make of it. My husband and I have only been on two cruises , so far. With our 3rd coming nov 25 on the magic. Our first was on the splendor and second on the conquest. The Conquest was nothing when compared to the Splendor. A lot went wrong. With that being said, We didn't let it out a bad taste in our mouth. Some ships are gonna be better than others. In ANY line

Sailing January 7th too. Can't wait. This is only my second cruise. But there is always going to be something that needs improvement. You can't tell me that on any of your other vacations there could have been improvements somewhere. Get off your high horse and get your head out of your ass. You are on vacation!! Relax and enjoy. Simple solution. Alm u had to do was ask to be moved in the dining room. If you were really that unhappy you could have taken the next flight home from your next port. In my opinion, Carnival is great!

Linda Ella you boarded that ship with hatred in your heart. The Queen Mary wouldn't have made you happy under the circumstances that went on the cruise. As for the decor of the ship, it's all yellow and bright Monet paintings and a big sunflower in the middle of it. I don't think you and I were on the same ship.

You can always ask to move to a diff table. It's not set in stone. Or get 'your time'.... you sit at diff tables every night

When I was on Conquest, my waitress remembered me by name and immediately brought my sparkling water and champagne EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Carnival made clear that they were going to stop using tablecloths every night a while back.

if you didn't like your sitting you should of asked to be moved. we did on the valor. we had the same sitting.on the other hand cann t wait to go on the Conquest.are friends are getting married on that ship.😀

Sorry for the unexpected happening but Carnival clearly states that you do not get any money you have paid on the cruise back if you cancel.

I was on the Conquest in August along with 8 others I hate that ship. We all said never again will we take the Conquest it is out of date and everything is so dark very depressing ship. I've been on 24 cruise Oct 16 this coming sat will make #25. Carnival can't never give me a free cruise on the Conquest. It's the worst ship ever

Hey terminator, just noticed we are on the same cruise next August. Hope all that are on that cruise are as level headed as you... or at least the majority. Either way, we can't wait. Okay... back to the Conquest.

Carnivals information is very upfront and direct. Depending on the type of booking, you are not allowed a refund. If you have to change your cruise dates for any reason, there is a fee for $50.00 Pp. Is it possible that your expectations were already influenced by your disappointment with Carnival, and that is why you are so critical of your experiences?

Sorry for your situation. Not making light of your plight. However, I completely disagree about the Conquest. We loved it. Big Sexy was awesome. All those that served us did a good job. Again, I cannot imagine your Hawaii frustration, but I have to take issue with your assessment of the Conquest. I doubt I will be alone.
