First Time Fun and Surprises

Sail Date: July 02, 2016

Reviewed: 4 months ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Inside

Pros:

lots to do, lots to eat, or just relax and do nothing

variety of shore excusions

Cons:

not all-inclusive... additional costs add up

noise from engines/propellers

overpriced excursions...  you pack 15-20 people into a mini-bus at $50+ for what amounts to a very expensive "1.5hr cab ride"

Suggestions:

could do a better job of identifying whats not included

provide menu in advance so we know what's free and what comes with a cost

flag rooms that have potential high levels of noise

discount package pricing for excusions... priced for 1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-9, 10+

Cabin / Stateroom
let guest know there is a potential for continuos noise from engines
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Embarkment process was a mess, seemed unorganized... why not set time windows for boarding by ship level... similar to the disembarkment which was more organized and relatively quick
Ship Quality
lots of wear n tear... need to renovate
Destinations and Excursions
need discount pricing for families... the more in your group the less it should be per person
Onboard Activities
Conquest needs some renovation... lots of wear n tear... especially the large screen TV
Children's Programs
Entertainment
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
the fixed time dinner/dining needed more variety... had to pay for some of the items
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
Nassau, Bahamas
go early and plan time if you want to do multiple things... the beach was great... the bus tour was OK... not much time for leisure walking around if you do a tour and want beach time
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
not much to do unless you book a tour... nothing to do on your own besides the beach, everything elase was specific to tours
Grand Turk Island
go early and plan time if you want to do multiple things... the beach was great... the bus tour was OK... not much time for leisure walking around if you do a tour and want beach time

Tip

find any postings from people who have similar travel plans (like couples, singles, family with kids) to get a better idea what onboard and shore options are better suted for you and your group
