Review summary

so we wont be going on this line again and no one cared that we were unhappy with our treatment I Have cruised a lot but this is my first experience with Carnival and it will be my last I am not a mean person but I was so disappointed with every thing on this cruise. The only thing I liked was the Faster to the fun option which cost 50 .00 it was great we got on right away and didn't have to stand in long lines but then then lost my husbands bag until after dinner and we were suppose to have our bags first.... the food was aweful we had opted to do several excursions and all of them got cancelled for lack of participation except one on the private island and they didn't let us know unitll after we had gone to bed the night before on 3 different days and on 2 days we were up till 2 am so I that was bs... we didn't have time to make other arrangements for other excursions.... they kept reheating the food we had the night before in the dining room the next day that's was on the buffet and it tasted like Golden Corral food in the dinig room the 1st night so you could imagine what it was like the next day yuk find a Royal or Holland or Norwegian to cruise on much better experience

I have been on RC and their food is the same as Carnival/Princess. If you want great food you will either spend money for the not included restaurants, or you will choose a much smaller yacht experience and pay 4 times as much. The major cruise lines have to cut costs to offer cruises at about half of the relative price that they were in 1980s. Food is one of the areas where they can cut costs considerably. You can pretend that RC is much better but those of us who have cruised multiple lines know better. As far as the OP's post goes, it sounds like things started off rough and then went downhill from there. Sometimes these things happen and if you let them get to you, they can ruin a trip.

If you want really good food, either you have to go specialty restaurant or a premium line. Face it, both RC and Carnival offer standard hotel fare in the MDR and both buffets can leave a lot desired. Don't go on the Volkswagen with Cadillac expectations and you'll be a much happier cruiser.

I can tell you I have been on the ship and Carnival a few times. The food and ships suck. I feel your pain, they will give you a 20% discount to go on another suck Carnival cruise when you contact them directly. Not even worth it in my opinion. Try RC or Celebrity, which is owned by RC. Some people don't understand good food.

Since we got to the terminal it was a disaster 2 hours in line because system difficulties.. The food and all administration of the ship with three exceptions was bad and the excursion we took a disaster...

I don't understand why people have to be so mean to each other just for their opinion. I have only been on one cruise and thought the buffet was horrible but the dining room was very good . We had great service and would go on Carnival again . Please let people give there opinions with out jumping all over them .

If you are unhappy its your choice to spend your money some were else. We can be thankful we have choices. Myself I will stay with Carnival golden corral is OK. I also have a choice to go to there Steak Restaurant

Your best chance for a free cruise is through carnival direct, but since you wont be cruising on carnival again, which is great for the rest of us btw, dont waste carnivals time.

As far as excursions people literally book up until the day before. If they don't have enough people booked unfortunately they have to cancel which is why they didn't inform you until the night before. As far as FTTF yes one of the perks is you're supposed to get your luggage early but things happen. On my cruise in May we had FTTF too and our luggage was delayed due to weather. It poured not
