Review summary

Our overall experience with this cruise was very good.  I did not give a 5 star rating based solely on glitches we had between the travel agency and Carnival.  Our experiences on the ship and the ports were very good.  The food in the dining room was definitely comparable to any fine dining establishment.  We had people in our group that would order two of the entrees and were very satisfied with the quality.  If I had any complaint about the ship, it would only be because it is so large and so many people.  Because of this, it is naturally very busy at the buffet, so we tried to eat in the dining room or order room service.

Our cabin was a suite and was extremely nice. The balcony was a little larger than the normal balconies and the room was very spacious. We had a lot of closets and storage space. Since this was our 50th Wedding Anniversary, we spent the extra money for a suite and I have absolutely no regrets as it was well worth the cost. As an extra perk, we were able to get speedy embarkation and debarkation.

Ship tip

We purchased a one hour cocktail party with hot and cold canapes for our 50th Wedding Anniversary that was held in Vincent's Lounge. The food and presentation was absolutely wonderful. All of our group really enjoyed the food and abundance of drinks.
